I don't think so. I think both TMNT and Guardian of the Galaxy were better 3D wise but I'd probably give the nod to Edge of Tomorrow for overall 3D movie.

I'm not counting T.S. Spivet because I haven't seen it, but it is on the way.

No no no, he's saying that the younger versions match up well to their older counterparts. I think.

I thought this was the best xmen movie yet. As far as being the best overall 3D movie of the year....it's up there with Transformers: AOE so far. Haven't seen GOTG yet.

Good film, not the best of the year for me (the film or its use of 3d).

I need to see this but as for best 3D movie of the year in terms of best movie and best use of 3D it's going to have to be The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet. A movie really made for 3D and a truly excellent movie in it's own right.

Lets not forget the acting is incredible in this movie.

The airplane scene between charles and eric when eric talks about charles abandoning the mutants and the death of their fellow x-men.

Then the scene where young charles talks to old charles through wolverines mind.

Another strong acting scene is where charles convinced mystic not to kill the guy who made the sentinals.

The acting was very good throught out great movie

Have you heard of "spoilers"?

And again, why wasn't one thread good enough? why does this deserve its own thread?😓

If there is a mod reading, can it be merged? I don't why, but I find it annoying..

Agreed. This one is very good for filmed 3D, but for stronger 3D, TMNT, GOTG, EOT and LOHercules are up there for strongest theatrical 3D films of 2014 from what I've seen so far.

On topic, they did a nice job filming the 3D in Days of Future Past in most shots, but if they really want to sell the 3D, amp it up to the level of Avatar or Flying Swords of Dragon Gate, etc.

Good 3D, but not great IMO. It's naturalistic, yep, it's naturalistic as hell with the clean delineation between layers that you'd expect from a native show, but where's the goddamned depth?

One other thing: the Exodus preview does indeed have some lovely 3D (though it's just a trailer so I'm not getting my hopes up) but holy hell it's been sharpened something chronic. The preview has the same nasty edgy look on the 2D disc.

This was released in the UK today, I just watched it. Some really great looking 3D scenes and obviously the kitchen scene with Quicksilver is the absolute highlight of the whole movie frankly. Everything was a bit dour and there was a lack of fun, which is one of the reasons that scene stuck out so much. It was a good movie and it'll need a few rewatches to gauge my true opinion but as a 3D blockbuster it looked and sounded immense.

I had no interest in the film till I saw the 3D in that trailer.
