+1. E3 is a good film. Its too bad Morgan Creek said they cant find any of the original footage that Blatty wanted to assemble another cut.

There's no word yet. I'd guess just a regular amaray case though.

The MSRP on this set is almost $15.00 less than last year's 40th Anniversary Digibook for The Exorcist, despite the addition of all four sequels, so I really wouldn't expect the packaging to be anything special. I'm guessing it's a standard Viva Elite Keepcase possibly housed in a slipcase ala the A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection.

The 40th Anniversary is no digibook, just a regular keepcase with hardcover.

I agree. It creeped me out more than the "white figure" scene

Six discs - I had to count in my head but that makes sense. I reckon this is great value. I got The Exorcist Director's Cut last Christmas (or Christmas before that), and opined later on that the theatrical cut wasn't on it. I'm more than happy to lay down the cash for this set mainly to get the prequels - The Beginning/Dominion given the history behind those two films. It will be great to see the original theatrical cut of The Exorcist, and be wonderful to finally watch The Heretic and III in full, as I've only seen bits and bobs on telly. Having said that, I haven't seen either of the prequels either, but given the story behind them I have to get this set purely for them.

EDIT: Like many, I'm groaning at "September". I've got this, Arrow Season 2, Sonno Profondo VHS and Supernatural Season 9 ordered. Add to that at the cinema Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Giver, Planes Fire and Rescue and Sin City 2 - I'm already broke, but far out I'm gonna be slumming it in September.

This looks like an amazing set! I own the original Digibook release of The Exorcist so mostly only interested in the sequels so glad they're given standalone releases. However i am curious about how the packaging is going to look on this. Hopefully we'll know soon!

Apparently you haven't watched the Exorcist II. That really is the only reason to revisit that film, and that comes from someone who has watched it a lot over the years and has several DVDs (and one HD preservation on a BD-R) of the film.

Linda is nice and all but there is something about EII that just makes me like it.

Let's be honest they probably didn't even look.
