I put in an order for Enter the Devil from WM last night since Amazon was showing a month until it shipped. It shipped today, so I should get it Saturday.

Basically, they didn't order enough. Back in stock now, though.

Not likely -- it went straight to tape. Robert Hartford-Davis' BEWARE MY BRETHREN (1972) was originally titled THE FIEND, but I don't think it ever played U.S. theaters under that title.

Definitely not a slasher. He's a ghoul, so it's closer to a zombie -- if anything, it shares some elements with DEATHDREAM, but for about $3 and shot in your uncle's living room.

Turns out I'm buddies with the FX guy, so he'll be on there, too, in addition to the director. Should be a pretty nice release.

I've got confirmed Amazon delivery for this Wednesday. $17.99 plus free shipping is a great deal for this title.

I just got finished watching my copy. It looks pretty good. Some speckles and a little print damage, but not too much. I also watched the Kim Newman interview which looks bad for some reason. I have seen similar interviews for Arrow and others and they are in HD, but this one almost looks like it was shot with a webcam with intercut film footage taken from a dvd or vhs. He is not a big fan but does give some information in the 5 minute 30 second interview.

I quite liked the movie. The desert/western atmosphere is a big part of it. I was not aware of this but the sound is only Dolby Digital. It seemed sufficient to me though. I did notice a typo in the menu where Kim Newman is listed as Kim Newnan.

I went back and watched the interview with David Cass. It appears to have been newly shot for this release and he gives some interesting information. Apparently he got his start in the business through John Wayne.

Sold! I've wanted to see this for a while but the VHS rip I have is just too crappy to watch. Even with all the great stuff coming out this year this is one of the ones I'm most excited for.

This looks wild. I'm going to have a hard time watching it, a lot of those 'worms' look very snake like, I hate snakes, they creep me out and that poor guy had to hold them in his mouth

I was really impressed by the Enter the Devil Blu. It doesn't look perfect, but realistically it looks really good. Kinda on par with a Code Red release. It's nice to retire my old Midnight Video bootleg. (Sorry Kim Newman, but it does have its fans.. lol) I really dug the bonus movie too. That flick is cra-cra! I love how it has 5 minutes of another flick at the end just like when your buddy gave you a tape back in the 80s.. So punk rock aesthetically pleasing. Massacre Video is the little train that could. When they get it right.. they get it RIGHT. Louis won me over for life with Hacko.

I enjoyed Enter The Devil, its not the level of Race With The Devil but still has its moments. It looks great from this Internegative.

100% on board for The Devil!

I watched Enter the Devil today. Pretty rough looking and in desperate need of some color correction. The movie itself is slow paced and pretty dull. I have no idea how this got labeled as a video nasty. Everything is pretty tame.

I second everything you said. While I can appreciate the "grindhouse" type presentation on display for this movie, the movie itself was nearly unwatchable for me personally. I was bored to tears. More a talky drama with some minor horror elements and fairly atrocious acting.
