Might have to pick the Spanish 5-pack up, although I'll also wait and see if anyone can confirm it actually says "Mission: Impossible" on the spine and that there's no Spanish-language text on the packaging (which I doubt).

hopefully we'll have some confirmation soon. The Mexican was not changed, it has the English text. The discs do have Spanish text. here's an actual unboxing of that one

Surprised to see my steelbook show up this morning, but was bummed to see the spine slash. What's even more disheartening is the slash is underneath the shrink wrap. I wonder if they will let me swap it out today? I'm thinking probably not.

Could always just return and rebuy a new one in store but you'll likely lose your $5 preorder cert, however if you ask My BBY nicely they have been known to honor it if you explain.

Just return the first SB on the 2nd receipt. Sadly, I do this often.

That works I guess but would probably take two trips unless you aren't ashamed of doing it right in front of them

Not wrong by any means just makes you look weird. Whenever I do store pickup and get a spine slash or slight dent I always swap it out in front of them.

Only issue is one time they actually marked a spine slash as un-sellable which kinda made me feel bad because for someone who won't care as much as me might still enjoy it.

How are Best Buy jerks? They always ship pre-orders out generally the Friday before release date, sometimes the Saturday before. You could have ordered it a few days ago and it still would not have shipped out until yesterday or today. They don't ship early just because you order early. Depending on what My Best Buy member level you are, you either will have on release day or a few days after that as Elite Plus get free expedited release day delivery, others get standard ground delivery which is taking longer due to the upcoming Christmas holidays because the carriers are slammed this time of year causing packages to take a bit longer than usual when going the slower methods such as UPS Ground, etc.

Ordered mine on the 29th and shipped it on Thursday.

Oh it gets better! Another copy showed up today.
At first I thought it was the collection steelbook, but was alarmed when I saw the packaging and knew there was no jumbo in there. Was hoping I could keep the 2 copies, alas it has a morning toke on it as well...albeit not as noticeable.
So I double checked my collection tracking and it shows as still in transit. So BB sent a dupe under the same order number.

Damn, was hoping to watch this tonight! Oh well!

Double check your card and make sure you were not double charged for it, then I'd say wait till day of release and go in and explain if your lucky they will just let you swap out or do what other user said just buy a mint one and return mailed one on that receipt.

This is why i personally always go for store pickup when possible to avoid.
But alas i get the convenience and understand that not everyone is within regular driving distance of a BBY.
