Season of the Witch and the producer's cut of The Curse of Michael Myers are the only sequels I really like. Everything else ranges from decent to utter crap.

I wouldn't label H20 a "guilty pleasure". It was actually a great movie. Now, Resurrection and "guilty pleasure" belong together in the same sentence.

Besides the fact that it's very well made, it actually does have to do with the first 2. Danielle Harris is Laurie Strode's daughter, it takes place 10 years after the events of the first 2, and the events from the first 2 are mentioned in part 4. Also the ending of part 4 bookends the trilogy perfectly by mirroring the beginning of the original.

I thought H20 was horribly bad.

I need to watch 4 again as it just seemed like another story and timeline. However H20 is the perfect sequel to the first two films and perfect timeline so I still think its the real trilogy. Yeah a lot of people hate the mask in part 4. I never had a problem with it but I can understand that criticism. I just think a lot of fans don't realize how well made part 4 is. Its very well directed, acted, has a great atmosphere and suspense like the first 2 and that ending was wicked as hell. I love it!

Now that I agree with. 4 is easily my favorite sequel.

If you were to do a marathon of all the films not including Zombies crap. Would you watch them in the order they came out, or would you do 1, 2, H20, Resurrection, 4, 5, & 6? Got Em!!

I would never watch a marathon of all of them because I hate parts 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8. I usually do a late night double feature of the first 2 if I don't have time to get part 4 in or I'll do 1,2 and 4 as the trilogy when I have time for all 3. I make the trilogy mandatory every night of October 31st no matter what. Sometimes I watch each one separately too on occasion.

I actually enjoyed Rob Zombie's versions but they are absolutely an acquired taste.

Personally I wish the series kept with it's original plan they had when they made part 3. Halloween 3 is fantastic imo. I would've loved if they kept with the idea of different movies based around Halloween instead of going back to the Myers well.

I can totally get with this. If part 3 had been good I would've loved the original anthology concept
