The Motor City Bowl has gotten a corporate sponsor and will now be the Little Caesars Bowl. My town used to have a Little Caesars but it shut down for about 10 years but a new one has just opened. Not bad pizza, but not great either. I'd say it's pretty equal to the other pizza chain that sponsors a bowl, Papa Johns.

Same, it was the first Pizza I ever ate, I wish they'd bring it back to MD.

So excited for football that matters to finally start tonight. No games I really care about but I don't care. I'm just excited to watch real football.

Yeah, usually week 1 is pretty horrible but this year we've got the Georgia-Oklahoma State, BYU-Oklahoma, Maryland-Cal, and Virginia Tech-Alabama. I'm going to be at the Iowa-Northern Iowa game in the morning and have a bachelor party in the afternoon and will likely be pretty drunk so I don't know if I'll see much of the games.

I try not to drink at sporting events anymore lol, I got to ride in one of the golf carts the stadium employees drive around in since I couldn't walk at one of our UMD games

Yeah, I'm not drinking at the actual game but will have 4 or 5 beers tailgating and then drink after. The game starts at 11:00 am local time and we're going tailgating around 6 but I like to remember the game and not risk being sick so I go easy pregame.

I'm not sure if it's airing in all markets, but the Ole Miss-Memphis game will be on ESPN at 2:30 Central on Sunday. An extra day of college ball this week. It won't be much of a battle, but it beats the hell out of preseason NFL.

Yep, the Miss-Memphis game is on nationally, and then there's 2 games Monday; Rutgers-Cincinnati and Florida State-Miami. Lots of good games over the next 5 days.

The Miami/Florida State game is where it's at for me. I already have nerves for it, I told my wife this evening that Monday night the TV is mine.

That was freakin great. The dude ran up hit him on the shoulder pads and talked some smack and then got punched in the face, lol. It made that horribly boring, overhyped game between two very overrated teams worth watching. This game proves my theory that they should NOT rank anybody until after about the 3rd or 4th week. Oregon looked terrible tonight. Their offense stunk it up and the play calling was atrocious.

The punch was awesome!

Oregon, once again, shows how Phil Knight can single-handedly get a team over rated every season.

Oh, and BSU should be BCS bowling. Nevada and Fresno are the only decent teams left on the schedule, and they should walk through them. If Boise State loses a game, the should drop off the top 25 altogether.

Worst crapshow ever. And then the best payoff of anything I have seen in the last 6 months. Pow, right in the kisser.

Yet another reason why the dumb NCAA shouldn't have them shake hands after the game because some guy will brag and show off that they won, then someone will go oh yeah, eat this.

Blount should get at least a 3 game suspension. It doesn't matter what the Boise player said that was a sucker punch when he wasn't looking. Then he made it even worse by trying to fight people in the crowd.

I only watched the first half of the game but Oregon's offense is just awful. They couldn't do anything. Boise blew a lot of opportunities early. They should have been scored touchdowns their first 2 drives and instead their kicker missed 2 field goals. I wonder if there's any realistic scenario where they could make the National Championship game. They are starting the year ranked fairly high so if they win out it's plausible but doubtful.
