I really doubt "Full Circle" is with Sony (what I heard, they held only TV rights) - if so, it would have been released ages ago through some company which licences from Sony. But I truly hope Arrow or BFI (or anyone else) get hands on it - according to its director Richard Loncraine, we are very close to getting all rights issues sorted

Anyone want to take a guess on when this will be announced? I like 80s horror as much as the next guy but imo this is one of the best titles from that period. Certainly, top 5-10 horror movies of the 80s. I just can't believe that's it's taken this long to appear on blu-ray.

As I mentioned previously, SDCC would be my guess.

If it's been delayed, then SDCC will almost certainly be the point of announcement now. If it's still coming in October they'd usually announce before then, but they might be doing things differently this year.

It's up for preorder on best buy, Barnes and noble, and deepdiscount for October 24... So I think they are saving it for last and would be announced this Monday the 10th

If they're saving it for last, then they'd be announcing it at Comic-Con. I believe that's when they said their last October announcements would be.

Kind of pointless to save it for last at Comic Con since it's already been leaked. But judging by the rest of the October lineup so far I won't be surprised if it's because that's the only Big title they have. Shame.

And I understand they must be frustrated that it leaked, but playing dumb and denying it is just ridiculous.

It makes them look really bad to just outright lie to fans about it.

Maybe SF isn't allowed to formally announce anything right now due to possible contract negotiations?
Not sure why everyone is so up-arms-about this....oh wait, of course I do, it's SF.

Just speculating here but I think once a contract is signed, the label is theoretically free to officially make an announcement whenever they feel the time is right. What I don't understand is how places like Best Buy got wind of the info and were able to create preorder pages. Shout Factory must have given it to 'em, no? Then the leaks would be on them. Bottom line: the word is out. Deal with it and make the announcement already

Never seen this before but there seems to be a lot of hype here. Is this a slasher? I like most slashers. Supernatural/monster is hit or miss for me.

Happens all the time, retailers jump the gun on putting items up for preorder or break street date for new releases.
If SF wants to wait until SDCC to officially announce it, they have every right...literally, since they paid for it.
Methinks it's more folks making mountains out of molehills.
Criterion, for years, would tease releases that took years to finally get announced, in some instances, yet they always seem to get a pass.

It is a slasher for sure, but it's a slasher more in the vein of The Funhouse and Humongous.

The label is free to announce it once the deal is signed, but the reason they don't is a matter of marketing and scheduling the entire slate of releases throughout the upcoming year. I am sure they were planning a big reveal at Comic Con but some trigger-happy (and possibly fired) employee at Best Buy jumped the gun!

Shout would have to have distribution deals in place for their upcoming products so that is how Best Buy got the information ahead of time, but it should have been embargoed until the release was officially announced by Shout.

I think it fits nicely with very early Friday the 13th (1&2) except with a gothic mansion setting.
