Son of a *****! I just bought the German 2-disc edition with the Directors Cut, Theatrical and a third cut. If the special features are good looks like I will be double dipping.

Greetings MVD Rewind Guy,

What are the chances of these gems getting a potential release?

If they are doing Universal films then I would love to have:

Double Dragon (as mentioned above me)
Waterworld
Cry-Baby (Director's Cut)
King Ralph
Cool As Ice
Kuffs
Hard Target (with 3 cuts: Theatrical, Unrated (found on the current blu-ray), and the Workprint/Director's Cut)
Sudden Death
BASEketball
Heartbeeps
The Jaws sequels
Amazon Women on the Moon
Talk Radio
K-9
The Wizard

All of them need to be special editions with all the bells and whistles. I especially want Hard Target as that is one that has been needing a special edition for a long time.

Guys, they're not doing Universal films. The only reason MVD is releasing Lionheart is because Universal lost the rights and is now fully owned by Imperial Entertainment.

PS. This release won't have the Universal logo at the beginning (legal stuff unfortunately).

Yeah... there is no "theme" or "genre" we'll stick to. I like interesting films and "variety" will be our genre!

It's really a time capsule to the punk scene in the late 70's / early 80's. Interesting watch for sure. If you like it, I recommend another tile MVD released on Blu called "Style Wars". I always remembered the poster for D.O.A. from the 1981 John Belushi / Dan Aykroyd film "Neighbors". It graced the wall of Belushi's daughter's character. The film had never been released legitimately on any format before. Being that MVD got it's start in the music video side of the business ("MVD" actually stands for Music Video Distributors"), I thought it would be fitting to make this the flagship release for the new line.

Thanks so much for your support.

Speaking of, what's the copyright status on Savannah Smiles? I've seen 2 releases by Hen's Tooth and Cheezy Flicks respectively, yet the Anchor Bay release lists StudioCanal. So I'm guessing it's in the Public Domain yet StudioCanal owns the "official" rights?
Not PD. We licensed these titles.

First pressing (based on preorders) and then that's it. We've already started shipping Attack of the Killer Tomatoes without slips.

Yes. All the effects are practical. For the new 2K transfer, the director did go back in and did a little "digital retouching", including a little bit on the creature's eyes that bothered the hell out of him, BUT, for purists we are including the original version of the film (in SD) as it was too.

We like being odd. No consistency from release to release. Expect the unexpected.
