Oh great more lazy titling, don't call it "Halloween 2" again, we already have 2 Halloween 2 movies being Halloween II (1981) and H2: Halloween 2 (2009), give it a new subtitle like "Halloween: Michael Strikes Again".

Come up with a subtitle that is more creative and don't be lazy.

lol Michael Strikes Again.

Might as well call it Halloween: Myers Rising if we're going for really terrible titles.

Jason Blum wants TEN more sequels

Quote:

"Halloween" was taken too, so meh. And the faster we forget the 2009 film exists the better!

Or what about Halloween: The Vengeance of Michael? a better subtitle than Halloween 2 again.

That's nuts! i personally honestly feel H18 was a downright overrated overhyped mediocre sequel and quite lame just like Rob Zombie's remake and 6 but it's nowhere as shitty as 5, H2: Halloween 2 (2009) and Resurrection. I mean there's nothing new you can really offer to Michael.

I enjoyed Halloween 1978, part 1 1981, 3 (I really like the original concept of an anthology), 4 and H2O (the franchise could had ended when Michael was beheaded as i'm going to accept it's the last Halloween in my view), i'm not the biggest fan of the franchise despite i like Elm Street and Friday The 13th more.

10 sequels? eventually this whole nostalgia horror franchises that were already dead bubble will burst. I mean its sad that H18 was a hit and disappointing to me, i mean studios will be like "Oh they want more Michael? how about more Freddy, more Jason, more Jigsaw, more Ghostface, more Candyman etc.".

I mean no more Freddy, the last film being a remake was a horrible piece of shit and Jackie is a good actor even as Rorschach but sucked as Freddy as even Englund said so as he lacked charisma or personality and soul, i'm sorry there's only ONE Freddy Krueger and that's Robert Englund, accept no substitute. Just like there's only ONE Tallman and that's Angus Scrimm and there's only ONE Ash and that's Bruce Campbell. Same for Jigsaw which i thought the last film was shitty and the franchise could had ended with 3 and they said "The Final Chapter" is called "The Final Chapter", they lied. Scream 4 i thought sucked as the characters were not likable, the script was poor and had lackluster kills, the series ended with 3. The first Candyman was the only good Candyman movie while the sequels sucked ass.

This is reminding me of what happened to the Universal Monsters back in the 30s, 40s and 50s! i mean Universal had HUGE characters on their hand and were hits, eventually they kept pumping sequel after another until they eventually got diminishing returns, the bottom completely fell and before these characters became jokes in Abbot and Costello movies despite the Meets Frankenstein film was a classic. This is also reminding me of the rise and fall of the slasher films in the 80s when they kept pumping one slasher film after another even in the direct to video market and the bottom completely fell over. Same thing for the torture porn genre and found footage genre as i'm no fan of the overrated Paranormal Activity as i didn't bother to watch the sequels as i'm tired of found footage when that genre needs a break, PA got diminishing returns.

I just don't want these horror icons (Freddy, Michael, Jason, Pinhead, Leatherface, Jigsaw, Ghostface etc.) over and over again on the big screen, i really don't wanna see that. I mean, your just gonna eventually keep getting diminishing returns. I'm like, can we have new horror icons already, let these older horror icons with their franchsies die and rest in peace. Don't keep digging them up from their graves every now and then like Weekend at Bernies style, just come up with your own original franchise. Now granted i'm not super big into Insidious sequels and Conjuring spin-offs or Happy Death Day, but hey! it's at least something different, well not quite different, but it's not the same horror icons and horror franchises I've already seen before, they are trying to create their own and at least they are giving it an effort. I mean they are box-office hits, i mean i gotta at least give credit to them to create their own new horror icons in the mainstream like The Nun, Annabelle and Babyface. And while it's a foreign film, The Babadook created it's own new horror icon.

It's like how in the last decade, the mainstream horror genre created it's own new horror icons like The Creeper, Captain Splauding, Sam from Trick R Treat (which never got a theatrical release but a direct to video release instead which is a damn shame), Victor Crawley (more of a direct to DVD icon which the movies were released in midnight theaters in cities than in theaters as it's an independent production) to the biggest one of them all, Jigsaw.

I think mainstream horror genre needs to create it's own unique horror icons again, i mean let some of these older ones rest in peace as they earned their retirement from the genre as i think it's time to let some horror icons of the past just kick back to relax and bringing them back from the dead in hopes of old glory and profit is just gonna hurt their legacy and eventually diminishing returns. And when that happens, let some franchises just die and rest in peace in favor of new ones and new icons. And if there's anyone like me, who is sick and tired of these old, tired decaying franchises keep coming back on the big screen in the mainstream cinemas then don't go see them in the theaters and pay for that's how your gonna send your message and let them know you want something different and new.

Now the new Child's Play remake looks promising from the looks of the trailer, i'm actually excited for that one even when the use of practical effects being used and doing something different to the character than being a rehashed piece of shit like Elm Street. I'm looking forward to that one despite i was burned out on the franchise because of the last 4 movies and glad Mancini is not involved as he had turned the character into a joke and all, but the trailer to the new movie won me over.

Halloween 2018 did nothing for me, and was a huge letdown. Let's hope that whatever is next is better.

Hope it’s as great as 2018. Whenever we finally get another good Halloween film, 4 or H20 they always screw up the follow up.

The only thing I can't stand is their gibberish... how they keep ranting on and on.
