Beat me to it. Make SURE your first exposure to any Disney animated based content is the original animated films. Otherwise, you’ll be like "dafuq was that about"?

Well, I guess it's a weird thing ( ) but some people seem to be looking forward to all of the remakes...

I watched Bambi once when I was little. Too traumatic to ever watch again. Just the thought of Bambi's mum being murdered still gives me a lump on the throat. Only way I'd watch the remake is if Bambi grows up to avenge his mother's death. I would gladly pay money to watch two hours of hunters dying horrible deaths.

Isn't that the premise of that horror movie?

Everyone knows the ugly truth about TLM. It is all about right wing racism in the world and to a lesser extent the US.

Says who? You? It is interesting to take a 21st century look at old films. The only embarrassment are your posts.

There are no original projects. Everything has been done before. Human actors can do things that animation cannot do.

There will be a whole brood of hunters that we can follow who just can’t wait to kill every animal in sight. And there can be some ethereal 10 year old girl that makes friends with Bambi and then it will be a big shock when Bambi gets old and learns that it was her dad that shot his mom and then the now grown up woman who serves as a park ranger will teach her hunter dad to not kill things by the end, and Bambi will rescue her from the big fire at the end. Also the rival buck that Bambi fights will have to be given an extensive backstory starting from when they are young and he’ll be played by Jack Black. Bambi will be played by John Cena or something. And the Great Prince of the Forest will be replaced by the Slay Queen of the Forest and be played by Tiffany Haddish or Amy Schumer
The sad thing is that this is something they actually would write and approve these days...

The Little Mermaid is a excellent film and people who bother to see it agree. It has a 94% score on RT among verified viewers. Cinemascore gives it an A and they again used people who see it. Unfortunately this is about the lead being black instead of white. She was perfect as Arielle.

Musicals not your cup of tea? Well, that's cool, you can skip them and that's all.

But, having loved musicals all my life, this movie was absolutely something worthy of celebration.
I'm not a fan of musicals but I fell in love with this. I loved the scenes where the human actors interacted with the CGI musical sequences. "Under the Sea" was a fantastic song and Ariel riding a squid, sitting on a turtle among other things made the sequence pure Disney magic. It is a shame that this film has been caught up in the right wing culture wars.

ASK JEDI CONAN

PIT FIGHTER OVERLORD
Jedi Conan! What is the ugly truth about The Little Mermaid and right wing racism?

JEDI CONAN

Bird has two vings. One on it da right. One on it da left. They both flap. But they are controlled by it da middle. The brain of the middle head. They also have tail wing over butt hole. So da vings flap, und shed it da feathers and make noise, lots of noise, but it's da middle head that gives the orders to right ving und left ving und butt wing. All vings can be racist if middle head is racist. You understand? Not left ving, not right ving, not butt ving. Da racist head. Vings flap about property. Head controls all.

I am Jedi Conan, und I do not have it da racist head. I breed wid anything that moves. I go to Sea Vorld and da fish stop swimming. I am one wid it da Force and da Force is with me.

PIT FIGHTER OVERLORD
Good!
