I haven't watched it off of the Mill Creek lately, but the lighting in that movie looks like 60s TV lighting. That might be what you're reacting to. It's essentially a stage play.

I have not seen the Mill Creek set, so I cannot say.
I do have the UK Region Free Blu-ray from Powerhouse Indicator. It looks very good.
"Cash on Demand" is an excellent film, and I would recommend the movie and the Powerhouse/Indicator Blu-ray to anyone — Their encoding of the disc and the Extras that go alone with it are top notch.

Thanks for the heads up. I had been debating whether or not to get this, but at that price I just couldn’t say no. I'm still definitely gonna have to buy the Indicator Hammer Volume 4 set for the 4K restoration of Revenge of Frankenstein, but for the rest this will be just fine.

I've been having such a blast watching this set the last couple of weeks, I'm not even upset for not getting in on this sale (I paid about $50 at release thanks to DDD). But for those of you on the fence, I highly recommend it!

Ordered, and threw in a Blu copy of The Favourite to get over the free shipping threshold. A dollar a movie? Even if some have mediocre transfers, it's still one of the best bang-for-the-buck entertainment values in a while.

People have been using Deep Discount for years. It’s “legit”. The sets are new.

There’s a number of Mill Creek sets on sale for +80% today being discussed in the Mill Creek general discussion thread. Whether or not it’s an intentional sale or someone at DD made a boo-boo seems unclear.

I've placed several orders with them a year (usually for sales such as this or when they have coupons) for 15+ years and I've never had an issue with them. Once or twice I've had an order canceled due to stock or error, but never had to return anything. I also appreciate that they ship preorders a few days early so you usually get the on or around release date.
