I actually enjoy the Behind the Sofa bits. Never watched them on any of the other releases until now (McCoy's S1).

I like that they have 2 previous generations of doctors/companions commenting. Wonder if it's like that on the other releases as well...

Davison really seems to have a chip on his shoulder. You'd think that it would be Baker that was still sore about his time as the Doctor.

Yeah. He's really grumpy on the McCoy box set. Was his tea cold or something?

Probably didn't want to be there. Or, one of the other guests irritated him.

He just likes to poke fun at things. He’s just the same on the Behind the Sofa segments on his own episodes and on commentary tracks and extras on his stories.

I always find him to be one of the more entertaining contributors.

The problem with this thread is it just feels like an excuse to bash Chibnall. It's all one show, so no need for a separate 'Non-Chibnall' thread, and to single him out in this manner shows no respect for the mental health of celebrities.

I mean, I doubt he reads this forum, but imagine what he'd think if he does? For all we know, he could have a massive Blu-ray collection and looking to discuss it with others.

Is that your way of saying you're going to ask the admins to delete yet another swathe of posts because you don't like people not talking about what you want to talk about? It has nothing to do with 'mental health' or caring about celebrities (as your hate speach against celebs you find 'disgusting' - how's your venomous vendetta against Scarlet Johannson attacking her for exploiting the current unpleasantness going? - and your history of maliciously getting even threads that have nothing to do with Who locked as far back as 2016 attests) and everything to do with your vindictive immaturity.

There's not been a post about Voldemort for over a week until you come in trying to assert your imagined 'moral superiority' and start a fight. If you don't like the thread, don't post in it. There's already a thread for kvetching about Who threads - take your egotistical BS there.

But this thread has only been created as a dig against poor Chibnall, who at the end of the day is a human being. It's the same show whether you like it or not.

And for your information, it's not a 'vendetta' against Scarlet Johannson. I simply just didn't agree with her trying to sue Disney over their decision to better aid people during the pandemic. I would have said the exact same about a male celebrity.

Be honest just for once: you don't care about other people or you wouldn't barge into a thread where no-one has even posted about him for over a week. You have never demonstrated respect for other people on these boards unless they agree with you or egg you on in your petty little tantrums because they find them funny. You're just looking for a fight - and there's a thread just for that to try to stop the disruption from both sides that sees you constantly getting threads locked when you throw one of your tantrums (which always starts with your phoney baloney 'concern' about celebrities you like's mental health).

You want that fight, go here and sanctimoniously vent to your spleen's delight:

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=343606

This thread was created out of anger over the way you regularly got the other Who thread locked and posts deleted en masse - just as you are trying to do now - because you hate anyone expressing different opinions to your own. Yes, the thread name was a mistake, but your demand that only pro-Chibnall posts were allowed on the other thread or you'd get them deleted or the thread locked again were a huge factor in that. You're perfectly happy to attack women on other threads (remind me, how many times did you get the Ghostbusters threads locked with your antics?) and it's become a mixture of trying to censor any opinions other than your own and a malicious game to see how many threads you can kill.

Grow up, accept that the not everyone has - or should have - your opinions and stop trying to censor free discussion on the boards just because you don't agree with it.

Now either pick a fight in the kvetching thread designed for your self-aggrandizing showboating (and that of the Chibnall era haters) or post in the other thread and let the users here go back to discussing the show. The current subject prior to your blatantly obvious attempt to pick a fight was the companions and the behind the sofa extras. Nothing to do with what you are moaning about. You're wildly off topic.

For other users, I'd suggest sending Threadbuster to Coventry - just ignore him and don't give him the flame war he's desperately trying to start to give him the excuse to run crying to the mods to get another locked/deleted thread scalp on his belt.

I actually stopped watching the show specifically because of Tegan: it was a good idea to have a companion who wasn't in thrall to the Doctor, but she was written and played as such a constant nagging one note b***h that I just stopped watching until she left. And then they brought her back...

I didn't catch up with much of Davison's tenure until buying a VHS of a Doctor Who story every time I finished an assignment became something of a ritual years later and I'd run through all the Hartnell-to-Baker (T) tapes on the market at the time.

It's a shame that she tends to do her Behind the Sofa segments in character at times. I'm never sure if it's fan service or if she's really like that offscreen - I suspect the former, though she did become a theatrical agent...

Showrunners know that the risk of audience backlash goes with the territory (especially when you upend nearly 60 years of continuity!) I think he knew what he was getting himself into. And an obscure thread that barely mentions his name is the least of his worries.

Funny, was reading an old Starlog magazine yesterday that referred to Janet as a British actress. It'd been so long I thought maybe I'd forgot and that it was only the character who was Aussie. But no, Janet too is from Brisbane!

Maybe it's the accent that makes her seem in character?

Over 7000 views and the thread hasn't been locked once. To the best of my knowledge, posts haven't been deleted either. Why? Because people who enjoy Doctor Who discuss and celebrate the show. That really irritates certain thread crapping villains.

Let's break 10000 this week!

She's certainly not as severe as Tegan, but her banter - especially with Sarah Sutton - often ends up being b**chy teasing. I suspect they're friends offscreen and it's injoking (she tends to go lighter on Louise Jameson, though Wendy Padbury got a bit of it) but it feels like she's playing the mouth on legs bit to the gallery a bit too much at times. I've not seen them all but I thought she was better when she focuses on the scripts and production issues than the personalities.

Her Twitter username includes “mouth on legs” so I wouldn’t be surprised if she still plays her main claim to fame to the hilt!
