for some baffling reason, my local Best Buy locations didn't receive the 4K steelbook...nor the regular 4K.

Received mine yesterday. Tiny scratch on the front, but not worth going through the hassle of a return.

I got an e-mail from Target saying the estimated arrival for mine isn't til 12/20. Maybe retailers aren't getting copies of this in time.

Kind of silly Amazon says get it by Friday, but my preorder says till January 12 - 24

My order is exactly the same. Label created on Friday but UPS is not yet in possession of the package. It is now Tuesday morning.

Yeah, not sure what's going on. It's still not available for shipping on BestBuy.com, so my guess is that there are some issues with inventory. It looks like they sent plenty of stock to stores, though, since this is available for pickup at all of my local Best Buy locations.

I just placed an order for pickup at my nearest store. I'll be in the same shopping plaza later today so no big deal. Will return the shipped steelbook if/when it arrives.

This has happened on some other releases in the past. Try and edit your order and select "change shipping speed". You might be able to select a new shipment speed and it will trigger shipping immediately. Amazon has had some major issues with pre-orders recently.

My supervisor gave me a $25 Best Buy gift card, so I'm on my way right now to a store to see if I can pick up the steelbook.

I went to one store, and both copies they had had spine slashes. I'll try another store tomorrow.

Received mine from Best Buy in a cardboard mailer with a cardboard backboard yet the opening end opposite the spine looked as if it was wacked against a table edge with a substantial deformation. There was no damage to the packaging so it must've been that way before shipping. I took it back in-store and they had one last copy to exchange it with!

I just opened my steelbook and on the back of it, it has 17 small dings. Has this happened to anybody else? I'm going to return it tomorrow, but I'm afraid to exchange it for another steelbook just to have the same issue happen.

Not at all, it just made me chuckle. 17 dings is such a...precise number. Not a couple or a few, but 17! Anyways, I hope you get your replacement, because it's an awesome steelbook.

Ultimately one of my local Best Buys did, in fact, receive some this morning and I ended up doing a store pick-up for it, so that's all she wrote there.

My Best Buy had a few copies of the steelbook and only 1 of the slip version which I was after since I already got the steelbook. I grabbed it. I did the same thing with Reservoir Dogs got the steelbook and the slip version on UHD. Sometimes the slip version is to cool to pass up.

Picked up the last one in my area, has a little scratch on the front, I wish it didn’t, but I’m not freaking out over it. I was just happy to get one.
