A speculated reason is that green paint and ink cost more than red. I think they simply wanted to shake things up a bit, but not with a complete redesign. Daphne also had a different outfit in Thirteen Ghosts.

My order came today! Has the sponsors in the beginning. I’m on episode one so far. Quality is good not amazing. Hoping the others look better. My package came super late, and I was thinking it wasn’t coming at all. Very much looking forward to this!

Also looks like Amazon put it up as a pre-order again for the new orders. Was in stock for a few days.

Only watched the first episode. Sponsor on the intro but not the credits, even though it's still on the SD extra. I'm guessing when the source 20 years ago was from a turner beta or 16mm so they weren't going to scan it to 4k. Or another theory is this was edited for streaming and they didn't put it back into the ending, the fade they used in the beginning seems like its only there to easily get cut out for MeTV or Max.

The color grade is good at times, but others feels a bit cooler than the DVD. However the color palette seems more accurate, TCs vest in the intro is actually Purple now instead of a faded purple/pink.

Compression isn't great. I'm not usually a pixel peeper, but the macroblocking in some long shots is really bad and it especially sucks because the restoration work is excellent. Count me in for Top Cat 4K.
