For me, this is mid-tier Fincher… and not because it’s bad, but because he has so many films I would rank above it.

I do love this a little more with every rewatch.

I like it a lot, but it's not one of Fincher's best. I enjoy it more than The Game, which completely falls apart in the third act. Panic Room is entertaining from start to finish.

It's one of my favorite movies of 2002 for sure. Love the music, the photography and the set pieces. Like I said I love it, always will, one of Finchers best imo! Hands down!

I haven't watched this since the superbit dvd came out, which I own. I remember liking it enough, at the theater, to buy it, but not enough to watch it since the first time at home.
Someone posted that they felt it compared to Jackie Brown in that is is excellently crafted, but a little different than the normal movie from the director. I'd agree, and offer another example, Inside Man (Spike Lee).
Panic Room is a movie "crafted" as well as the other two I mention, but it is also just a bit outside Fincher's "normal" type of movie. So much to the point where if someone had asked me to name a few, I wouldn't have thought of Panic Room...ever.

I watched the high definition version offered by the Sony Pictures Core Service and the picture quality was not very impressive, but still better than the DVD. Here's hoping that the 4K disc looks a lot better.

i love this film and i could care less about fight club which i think is a pretentious bore fest and people still cant convince me otherwise but you dont see my going on the fight club threads to trash it - ive never understood that mentality either ?
