Don't think I've seen anyone confirm yet, how's the video encode on this compared to the Shout?

Yes, yes. It's beautifully composed. I love that the illustrator decided to place Gloria Reuben higher and more central than Jean Claude Van Damme. It shows a real understanding of the brief given to him/her by the art department.

Who likely has this in the UK? Deciding if I should get the German or wait for a UK release. Avoiding the Shout like the plague.

Watched the German 4K last weekend. It was fun revisiting this flick and I'd place it ahead of Sudden Death. With the latter, I felt a bit distracted by it being so similar to a Die Hard setup whereas with Timecop, time travellin' notwithstanding, I detected a bigger whiff of inspiration and originality in terms of what they do with it. Then read Ebert's review and it's a real hoot:

![]() The German UHD looked great to my eyes and I felt that the 5.1 track was potent enough, didn't feel there was something wrong with it. 5.1 effects were perhaps more subdued than I hoped, gun fights didn't create a whirlwind of activity but the pounding rain in the opening certainly made it clear the 5.1 was present and accounted for. Speaking of opening, I was reading the end credits and realized that the below are the same actors: ![]() Of course, he was also in the Battlestar Galactica reboot. |

Callum Keith Rennie is a fantastic, underrated actor.
And a chameleon. He can blend into pretty much anything. |

My favorite performance of his was when he played Lew Ashby in Season 2 of the Showtime series Californication.
