playing this game now on the 360 and let me say...i am impressed. great selection, the transfered songs didnt give me a single problem and (for the 360) it loads pretty quick. customizable option for actually creating the character are a little slim. which i think kind of sucks but there are SOOO many different shirt/pants/shoes/instruments to choose from everyone can have a unique look. i know this isnt the ps3 version but they are pretty similar. if anyone has any questions about it let me know.
p.s. the 360 version came with 20 free DLC songs (a code on the back of the manual was used) i wonder if the ps3 will have the same treatment? the songs havent been anounced but im sure 20 free songs sounds good to anyone. for any of those curious on how the back of the manual looks ( ![]() http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/14/ro...g-transfer-wo/ |

not a tester for this game and yes the game came out for the 360 today. i have tested games before...professionally. so i would say my tastes and words are at least something worth considering =) and i still say this game is amazing. been going for 4 1/2 hours on expert on guitar (solo) and i've got to say. great choices in music, great placement of the notes on screen. harmonix didnt disapoint.

I've never played Rock Band as a singer before on the 360, so this may be a platform difference somehow...however:
Vocals seemed ridiculously easy now. In my tour through PS3 Rock Band, I acquired a grand total of four 5*s on expert. I had four 5*s out of four songs playing Rock Band 2. Admittedly they were easy songs, but so what? Getting 5*s on a song I'd never heard before on a sight read? Bwah? I'd call RB2 expert vocals equivalent to Medium vocals on RB1. Maybe it's a good thing, but I felt such a sense of accomplishment to finally beat Foreplay/Long Time on vocals and beat the Rock Band 1 vocal tour. I'd be real interested in hearing a real vocalists opinion on the matter. Maybe I was just in the singing mood today or something. |

not sure about those vocals changing but i do know that the guitar was fixed a bit. mainly its the "Hammer On's" no longer do you have to hit PRECISILEY on time with the note but rather "good enough" lol. its helping me get through some of those really tough solo's from RB1 *cough*Green tides*cough*
maybe the vocals were touched up as well? either way it works like a charm. feels alot more...fluent. |

And sure, there will be some songs that are harder than others. But like I said I 5 starred four out of four songs, after 5 starring four songs total in the original Rock Band tour. I guess I'll have to wait till next month when I can get my hands on my own Rock Band 2 to know for sure. |
