Best movie scene for a home theater demo - Page 9 - Blu-ray Forum

I just recently put my surround sound together and did a demo for them last night. I don't have a sub yet, so it didn't sound as good as it could, but I used the opening car chase from Quantum of Solace, and the factory scene from The Incredible Hulk. I personally like that one more than the college campus scene.

I agree, T3 has easily one of the best action scenes AQ wise in the car chase.

Personally I think the scene in Predator when they are getting dropped off by the helicopter is loud as hell. Another scene is when the black dude sees the predator for the first time and unloads the mini-gun at him.

My ears were ringing afterwards.

Just way too many to list. Just take the blockbuster action movies to date to start with. Any should do for some AQ demo material as there are lots of great sounding scenes.

Sad thing is the way they filter out the true rumble of Tomcat on the catapult when the afterburners light up. All we hear is turbine noise - sonically very disappointed by the all versions of Top Gun. The Blu-ray could/should have been fantastic.

Love the scene "in the fog". Just upgraded my amp to a 7 channel Sunfire. Before the upgrade the broadside was rather good, plenty of percussion, now the air in the theater gets squeezed so much you feel the pressure change!

I would use Blade runner opening scene.Just remember to put on the lossless audio

The lobby scene in The Matrix. I have converted a lot of people to high def with that scene. Just make sure you change the audio from DD 5.1 to Dolby TrueHD 5.1 before you start it.

Transformers first part

1. the opening attack
2. qatar attack - by a scorpion --- (39:00 - 45:00)
3. the last 20 minutes of the film will roar for heat and power with excellent sound designing.

I still go to the ending of Rambo. When he get's on that 50cal turret it sounds incredible.

That's a great choice! The final fight scene in The Matrix Revolutions between Neo and multiple Smiths is also impressive.

I'm a sucker for realistic gun shots. So I demo the shoot out in Heat man it sounds epic no music just pure gun fire.

I also like Public Enemies the Tommy guns sound awesome too.
