Any pro-reviews on this one yet? I've been looking, but to no avail

1997 - Worldwide energy crisis. Water resources depletion.
2000 - Sydney Olympics with "water" as sponsor product (see Thunderdome for this, what Waterseller screams), MAD MAX 1. Max is 23.
2001 - Oil War Apocalypse/WWIII. Breakdown of society.
2002 - Winter: Captain Walker's 747 flight and following crash (no fuel). Slake is born.
2003- Nuclear holocaust. Savannah Nix is born.
2004 - Nuclear winter. Climate changes. Desertification.
2005 - Aunty starts Bartertown as simple, rudimentary outpost. Captain Walker and most of the adults leave "Planet Erf" because they don't and can't know cities went eventually nuked (see Thunderdome, specifically the Tell scene, the year is reported on the wall).
2007 - MAD MAX 2. Feral Kid is 7/8 years old so it makes sense. Max is 30. Without Lord Humungus and the Dogs of War, Aunty is finally free to expand Bartertown the way she wants.
2012 - Gyro Captain/Jedediah has Jedediah Junior. Lusty Girl dies. He leaves the Great Northern Tribe with son.
2021 - MAD MAX BEYOND THUNDERDOME. Max is 44.

Mad Max fans say colors are a bit messed up and the picture is dark.

Professional reviews or not...... once this is about $10 or so.... I'm buying it..... probably worth $20 or so, but I've got so many titles I need to catch up on.... I can wait for a lower price.

While this may be true, don't expect fan sites of a certain film to necessarily be the ultimate "authority" on how a certain film should look, just because they are fans.
I know, more than most people they should be aware of how a film should look, but then I'm reminded that a fan site of the Predator series said the recent Predator BD was incredible, and it presented the film the best it has ever looked, since it now looks recent and without grain.

That's a good point, but considering I've yet to see a single HD screenshot or professional review on "Mad Max," and because the amateur 'buzz' I'm reading about seems to indicate mediocre quality, I'm beginning to lean towards believing that this release wasn't given top-notch treatment. When "The Road Warrior" was released on Blu, it received lots of press, granted it was one of the first releases on the format, but still...it's been almost a week since the "Mad Max" Blu came out, and we've been given nothing whatsoever...

Body snatchers drop in price to 10 bucks a week after release is exactly why i canceled my pre order of Mad Max, so crossing my fingers we see this hit 10.99 or 11.49 in the next few days.
if nothing else the fox online store has it for 14.99 right now.

Thanks, but that's only one person saying it looks darker and has more grain (he call it noise but it is probably grain). Blu ray often makes the films look a bit darker than the DVD versions because they often boost the contrast and brighten it for DVD releases to overcome DVD's visual limitations. I'll keep an open mind for the moment.

Is this a flipper with BD on one side and DVD on the other, or is it a BD and separate DVD?

Tried watching this yesterday, and I still don't care for it or the other Mad Max films. Its kind of blasphemous to say, but I actually find the movie "Doomsday" to be much more entertaining.

This Blu-ray looks really good. There are certainly some scenes with less detail but overall this looks great based on what they likely had to work with. The best thing to do is rent it to see yourself or look for a sale. I was perfectly happy to spend my $16 on it and watch it last week. I have been waiting for this movie on Blu for a long time.
