I just received this from Amazon UK and I can only confirm that they cheaped out on us! Very flimsy looking, light cardboard box. Looking at the back, it's clearly half-arsed, as they list the fan commentary... but as part of the bonus disc.

No mention whatsoever about the filmmakers commentary on Ghostbusters II.

Looking at the German steelbook on ebay earlier and the features seem a lot more legit https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ghostbust...98c1f006bb6b1b

It mentions the commentary tracks and the English 2.0 tracks on the blu-ray, but they could just be the commentaries.

I'm gonna send the U.K edition back to Amazon and I'll order the German steelbook. I'll get back to everyone on this, although I must confess to not owning a 4K player yet. Were the new commentaries and audio tracks on the American blu-rays?

I messaged amazon regarding the steelbook problem and got a full refund and got to keep the discs.

Seriously? What did you list the problem as? The Hermes man is coming tomorrow to pick mine up.

The Ebay listing mentions Dolby Atmos in English, can't see commentaries though

It says "kommentare" several times on the back. I assume that means commentary.

Told them I orderd the steelbook and normal case arrived, My son had opened the item and wasnt sealed anymore. After insisting that it was they fault it was in the description it was a steelbook they agreed and issued a full refund and told to keep the discs as a good will gesture.

So just to clarify the standard blu-ray discs are just reprints of the 2014 ones yet the 4K ones are the ones with both commentaries? This means unless you can play 4K you're out of luck listening to the GB II commentary.

The UK sets do not include the new commentary tracks. Not on blu-ray (as per the recent US & I believe the German steelbooks) or on the 4k discs. The only way is to get the US (oop) or German steelbook releases. Not sure about other countries sorry.

Yeah I got it a couple of days ago. It seems the only new thing is the bonus disc and annoyingly the new awful BBFC logo clashes with the previous BBFC logos.

No doubt next year Sony will just release another boxset with the movies to promote the release of Afterlife. Very lazy Sony.

I ordered the German steelbook the other day and just had a quick look at it... and yes... it has both commentaries (fan commentary on GB 1, filmmaker commentary on GB 2) and the 2.0 tracks! I don't have a 4K player yet, so I can't say if they were ported over, but I see no reason that they wouldn't be.

The commentaries and 2.0 stereo tracks are only on the Blu-rays, the UHDs worldwide are the same discs as released years ago.

Must admit I'm very confused now. So does the Ghostbusters 1 & 2 pack (2 discs) with the blue cover and the ghost pointing 1 and 2 with the fingers - does that pack come with cast commentaries on each film (I don't care about the fan commentary). It doesn't appear to list commentaries on the back.

So to answer my own question ... The Ghostbusters 1 and 2 pack with extra third disc, with Black packaging and slipcase (2020 release) does NOT have a commentary for Ghostbusters 2. Dvdcompare unfortunately lists it as having one, must update that for them.
