i did this as well, FINALLY getting in on the HMV go green promo. cant tell you how many times i read this thread and saw ppl getting wicked deals and thinking there was nothing i wanted. well i pulled the trigger on transporter 1 and 2 for $2.99 each and while i was there, picked up 28 weeks later for $10.99 (couldnt find another one for the 2 for 30 deal) going to go back once they put planet of the apes on for the $9.99 deal. (hopefully)

Rabbit you're in Mtl right? Which HMV did you go to? Because I went to the downtown megastore and they refused to give me the Blus at $2.99. Many of those titles like Transporter 1&2, Robocop, Flyboys and Rocky are at $9.99 and are also part of the "Go Blu" $7 trade in.. they told me that ONLY the ones with the "go blu" stucker (which are labelled 2 for 30) are eligible. I tried to escalate it to the supervisor there because it's the exact same products and to be honest a sticker shouldn't make a difference, but they said the ones priced at $9.99 have a numbered inventory and are under no conditions eligible for the trade in deal.

Not that $7.99 is bad, but I would have liked to pay five bucks less if I could.

salut dave3000, yes i am from habs land ha! taking a break from blus and watching pens-wings. anyway! the HMV i went to was the centreville mtl on st.caths. the female worker that i cashed out with, she told me that the dvd trade in was invalid 'cause titles i got had no verte-bleu sticker. then i told her it's good with any FOX labelled product, then she cashed me out and did the trade in hassle free. guess all employees are different or actually care about the down to the bone strict policies. guess i got lucky that day! anyway, Transformers2 tv spots are sacrebleu!

Go Penguins! Haha, chanceux! I went to the same store and couldn't do it... $7.99 for a blu-ray isn't bad, but $2.99, incroyable! It costs more just to rent a blu-ray at the video store. Good luck to anyone else that tries to do this, you won't find a better deal!

dave... i live in Pickering, Ontario (the Durham region) they guy at my hmv store practically talked me into getting the deal! i didnt even know about the $9.99 titles and had come in to trade in for 28 days later and he said if i had anymore dvds at home i could bring them and trade for the transporters 1+2 they had to get em for $2.99. i said offcourse are you kidding me! and drove home and came back with 2 more useless dvds. i was very happy, looks like they havnt straightened out their policy yet (since its the first week) but if it is an error i'm glad i got to take advantage of it!

Well while you still can, you should try to pull it off for Robocop, Flyboys and Rocky as well... they're also on sale at $9.99 and part of the $7 trade in offer. There may be a few others too!

I see HMV's site is down right now, maybe they're updating the terms?

so far the only ones my store had were the transporter 1+2 and robocop. i read the PQ is crap for robocop and i already own it on dvd so i wont bother with that. i left my name for planet of the apes (2001) version thou and the guy said hed call me when it came in for $9.99 no interest in any of the other titles.
