I've never had a real cheesesteak sammy!

This soon needs to be rectified.

How I'm getting trolled by time.

We've been in Iraq longer than the Ipod has been in existance.

Halo is now a decade old.

I can now legally drink.

There's a local sammich shop here and the owner is from Philly. It's as close as I can get to an authentic cheesesteak living where I do. Most definitely, you needs to get the cheesesteak in you.
[Show spoiler] Bon apetito.

OMG, you made me laugh so hard, especially when it "sent from my iPad".

It's not that I don't like Apple, but I hate troubleshooting Apple computer customer's internet. Or their Xfinity iPad app. They are not too kind.

early, early, early preparations for finding a new apartment

there's one place on the complete opposite side of town (which would only be 10 mins highway drive) which is absolutely gorgeous and only 3 years old. has a washer / dryer room IN THE APARTMENT (in each unit, awesome), a personal water heater in each unit, a small deck / patio with a built in grill, cable and internet are included in rent, along with water and heat, but rent is like $800 a month (which may not seem like a lot for some of you folks living in places like Cali or Florida) which is a lot in Wisconsin where rent averages $450-$600 for a one bedroom. but with all that included, it might even out to be the same if i find a place for around $550 with just water or heat. this place also has underground parking and they make a metal sign with your name on it for your personal parking spot. how awesome is that?! and it's a gated community property so i know my $h*t will be safe

decisions, decisions

and then there is the place that i absolutely LOVED as a kid. we only lived there a year while my folks' house was being repaired, but i loved it there. loved the structure of the unit and the light that was brought in from the huge windows (other place has that as well though).

this place is $475 - $525 for a one bedroom and while i hear mixed things about the management and building these days, that's pretty much everywhere. and god knows how some people act and what they do in their apartments. most people aren't perfect customers so i take what people say with a grain of salt.

either way. looking to be out of this apartment by June of 2012. so i have a year to plan, get money set up (need a new car before winter as well), and then decide and get new furniture and stuff all ready to go.

plan on devoting 50% of non-bill checks (every other check) to savings and 30% of bill checks to savings. which means i have to somehow cut back on my blu spending

You are the only person I know who spells packing that way. Ate some cinnamon cereal for breakfast, going to have another turkey burger for lunch #1 in a couple hours.

Katy Perry is touring here in June. I don't really know anything about her, but tickets are cheap... I may go.

Stupid typos...whatever. You know what I meant. It's nice being home to sleep in my own bed again, but I really do love So Cal...bittersweet coming home.
