My local Blockbuster had Top Gun 3D for rent so I watched it (I've never been a fan of the film but it's incredibly stupid and entertaining.). The conversion is absolutely amazing and it's definetely the best way to see the film, unless you can't stand the idea of the volleyball scene in 3D.

The 3D isn't earth shattering....mostly depth.

Still, a nice, short eco-adventure.

Finally got a chance to watch Coraline. Story was decent, 3d was good to great depending on the scene.

Well, been a while since I even saw it in 2D, but I don't remember much of any scenes in the movie specifically done for popout 3D, so I would guess the 3D was decided on after they did the 2D video.. That would then explain the mainly depth-type 3D to it... I don't consider popout to be the major factor on rating the quality of a 3D movie, anyway. As Zivouhr always says (repeatedly!), "As long as it has strong 3D..."

who ever says 3D in this movie is not great should be banished from 3d fandom.

I agree - my comeback for someone who says that is "you must be watching your 3D on a small flatscreen TV..."

I just watched Escape From Planet Earth and really liked it. The artwork is pretty and the 3d effects are consistently good. From a story and character standpoint, however, the movie is pretty bad to be honest. It's a good thing my love of 3d blu-rays is based primarily on the shallow standard of a film's technical merits a.k.a. how good it looks in 3d.

Stopped at a garage sale today and was shocked to see a small pile of 3D blu rays for $2 each.

I bought I robot and the three musketeers. I would have taken green lantern, avatar, and journey to the center of the earth also but I already have those. (Should have taken Avatar anyway,...$2 seems criminal.)

I have been avoiding I robot even though I love the movie because I read the 3D was "bad". I just watched it and I am very happy with it.

I only noticed about three places in I Robot that the 3D was a bit "not right," but other than those brief few seconds, I thought the 3D added well to the movie. I Robot is one of my favorite scifi movies, was glad to see even a 3D conversion...

You really weren't thinking, either - you should have bought ALL the 3D Blurays at the yard sale, and resold them here in the trading/selling forum... a quick $50...

Even if you had those other 3D Blu-rays you can not pass on them for $2 a pop... I am not sure i am believing this fish story Who in there right mind would let 3D Blu's go for $2 each ?

I left the $2 stickers on the slip covers... Let me go post a pic.... By the way,.. they had slip covers too.

I also picked up Cowboys and Aliens but that one wasn't 3D.

Here's a pic,... Beyond that I don't care if you don't believe me.

I also bought a boltz rack for $15 (though they took $20 for everything so either the rack was $14 or the blus were 3/$5.)

The rack was actually for CDs I discovered after,.. So I had to remove every other shelf,... Still holds 300 blus.

The last surprise was the uv code for cowboys and aliens wasn't redeemed yet so I redeemed it...who sells a movie without at least redeeming the digital copy.

After I got home I just wanted to go out and find another garage sale like this,... But never gonna happen I guess.

By the way,... I agree no one should be selling 3D blu rays so cheap... I have no idea why this happened. There was also about 3 pairs of 3D glasses that I could not identify so maybe someone was just sick of the whole 3D concept.

I guess I'll go back tomorrow and see if the other 3D blus are still there... ha ha ha.

Musketeers and Cowboys are blind buys....

I've got probably 200+ digital copies or codes that I'll never redeem inside my Blu-rays... if they have not already expired yet. I just don't do digital copies, and it's too much of a hassle to make any money off of them...

Life of Pi,I enjoyed it but I can't help feeling my new TV isn't as good with the 3D as my old one.

Just watched Toy Story 3. This has to be one of Pixar's best movies. This has some of the most amazing 3D depth I've seen and the story is really good. I think this is a must have for any serious 3D collector.

I had a friend from work over that has never seen anything on a 3D TV. And not much 3D in the theater either. Nothing great anyway, I don't think.

I put in Madagascar 3 3D first and showed him a few scenes from that to show off the extreme 3D. Then we watched Avatar, which he has seen, but not in 3D. He was pretty amazed.

The next time neither of us has to work in the morning we're going to pull an all night 3D movie marathon.

My friend brought up a funny point about Avatar I hadn't even thought about before. When they show the floating islands there is a waterfall running off one of them, maybe more than one I don't remember. Where the heck is all that water coming from, lol. Well, it looks cool anyway.
