Warwick Davis as Yoda... just because I want to see him with old school, glued-on Yoda ears.
Since Harrison Ford expressed interest, he could still return so there would be no need for Nathan Fillion to play his part.

I don't think he could be a Jedi, he's more of the smuggler sort. Well, maybe he could play Han's son or something.

Good point. So much would depend on if VII takes place five, ten, or thirty years later. Since he's from a different planet than Luke/Leia I suppose they could re-cast them younger and have him aged more, but that's cheap ret-con.

Or they could paste a goatee on him and he could play mirror universe evil Han. Okay, okay, I'll go back to playing with my action figures now to justify having opened all that packaging.

If you want an older, unattractive, "smooshy skinned" Leia...is this a joke?

If any of the original human cast is around in Episode VII, it will be set years after Episode VI. We are not going to see Mark Hamill play a 20-something Luke Skywalker again, he would be much older and his children would be in it.

Hmmm...aren't the Jedi supposed to be portrayed as celibate?

That would need a lot of cowbell to cover that.

As someone else mentioned, it's already never ending with the amount of books, TV show, comics, and games set in the EU. Now we're just getting more movies with it. That isn't a bad thing at all.
Speak for yourself!

I watched ROTJ the other day and the kids loved the Ewoks so much that I put on Caravan of Courage the next day. I'll go Battle For Endor next time we're bored.

I was just pointing out that there had in fact been 'Star Wars' movies that were made for TV before. I have them too and I really enjoy watching them. I actually think they're very well made.

I was going to say just that, and also point out Luke does get married in the EU.

so I've been reading today that Vader will return in Ep.VII.

RUMOR: Darth Vader To Return For New STAR WARS Movies?
---
Yes, the Dark Lord Of The Sith was most definitely dead as a doornail - and a frickin ghost to boot - at the end of Return Of The Jedi, but the latest rumor regarding the new Disnif
ied Star Wars flicks is that the big guy will be making a comeback..
Mark "RorMachine" Cassidy - 11/12/2012
It's saltshaker time again, but the UK Express reckon "industry insiders" have told them that Disney plan to resurrect Vader for their new Star Wars trilogy. The site report that despite being very, very dead at the end of Return Of The Jedi, and even appearing to his son Luke Skywalker as a ghost, the ultimate movie villain will indeed be wheezing his way back to the big screen.

According to "a film mole"..

“He’s an integral part of the franchise. Replacing him is virtually impossible. The plan is for him to return and play a significant role in the new films. This is science fiction remember, Darth Vader will rise from the ashes.”

Vader IS the most recognizable, iconic aspect of the Star Wars saga so I wouldn't have a hard time believing that the studio/film makers would be interested in bringing him back in some capacity, if it wasn't for how he checked out in Jedi. The above quotes do raise a good point though - what is really out of bounds in sci-fi/fantasy these days? Still, I'm gonna need more solid info before I'm convinced.

It's coming from a British tabloid. There's no validity to it.

I call B.S. I'l also be expecting more audacious rumors to come out between now and closer to an actual script being written.

If it were true it'd be a terrible idea. If Vader really is brought back -- doesn't matter how -- this will tip Disney's hand and show that they're more concerned with making money than telling good stories.

Admittedly, you'd have to at least explore the idea of using perhaps the most iconic villain in movie history, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that without shitting all over the OT.

If you are going to bring back any baddie, bring back Darth Maul as he has the most potential and was just utterly wasted in the 1st and only movie that he was in.
