IF you have friends on PS3 (or 360 for XB1 owners) who can't buy a current gen console yet but would like to play Destiny, tell them to go ahead As Long as they plan on getting a PS4 (or XB1) before January 12th 2015. (when the free upgrade ends)

When you buy/redeem the Destiny Digital Base Game, Digital Guardian Edition, or Expansion Pass on or before January 15th, 2015, you can download the Playstation®4 version from the PlayStation®Store for free by doing the following:

- Log into your PlayStation®4 using the same Sony Entertainment Network Account (PSN ID) used to buy/redeem the Destiny digital content on PlayStation®3.
- Navigate to the Destiny content page or search for the corresponding item you purchased previously on PlayStation®3.
- Add the item to your cart and complete the transaction.
- Wait for the download to complete.

Expansion Pass content (which includes Expansions I and II) will only be available for full download once released.

Q. When I download the free PlayStation®4 version(s), will I still be able to play it on PlayStation®3?

Yes. Your Sony Entertainment Network Account (PSN ID) will retain licenses for both consoles.

I turned on the PS4 when I got home and 2 files, less than 200MB total, downloaded in about 5 minutes. I went to the application data and it shows I have 21GB for Destiny. I wonder if the system is just saving that space because I don't have any notifications for a download that big.

Thanks a lot for the codes guys. Just redeemed them and decided to pre-order advanced warfare at GAME cause I like the shader for the warlock colours. Simply frabjous. Look crap on other classes though.

As far as the day 1 of multiplayer releases, being a CoD fan, I have seen many a rocky release, so it is kinda par for the course for me.

Hopefully you get the car deal sorted out.

All games should be crossbuy IMO. Its cool that Activision of all companies, to the best of my knowledge seems to be the first one to be doing this with a retail game for the PS3/PS4

I makes good sense. First week sales are the most important, and you would not want any PS3's putting it off because they see a holiday PS4 in the picture...at which point they would be buying second hand copies anyway.

I was really hoping I would have good internet service by now. There is a fiber optic switch box at the end my road, now, but the network hub in Knife River is not yet complete. We're hoping before it snows. I've signed up for 100Mbs service. Playing Diablo 3 was intermittently nightmarish for the lag I was having. A few seconds, at least. I'll probably join the clan, anyway.
