Not a lot of new info to add here, but I went to my Best Buy around 11 yesterday. I preordered with the in-store card since they were sold out online for store pickup by the time I got around to deciding I wanted to buy it. Anyway, the guy in front of me at the pickup counter was getting one, and when I got up the girl told me it was a good thing I got there because they only got two. I asked if they tracked the preorder cards sold at all so that people actually get what they paid for, she said no, they just set them aside if and when they get more in stock, but as everyone else has discovered, the preorder cards hold absolutely zero guarantee of you actually getting what you bought. How this is an accepted practice I'll never know. But, now I know for next time. Luckily my copy is mint with no problems closing.
Awesome movie, btw. Probably one of the best looking Blu-rays out there as well. All in all probably one the best additions to my collection. |

I missed my opportunity to order on-line.Yesterday, I was stuck in a mandatory class from 7:30am-3-30pm for work then worked my normal shift from 3:30p-11:30. Now. I am still bothered I missed my chance on picking up this steel. I won't pay a scalper a dollar over what they retailed for. But, am willing to trade my extra, never opened "Thor TDW" BB exclusive Steelbook for this. Any takers PM me.

Last night on Twitter @BestBuySupport's response to complaints was: We are working hard to get everyone their copies. I am sorry you didn't receive one. ^Crystal Anyway, I specifically asked CS: 1) How did the inventory system fail to identify the number of units preordered? and/or 2) Why didn't the store reserve units for those who paid in advance? Bottom line: Yet another negative BB experience that has led me to find more reliable services, regardless of exclusives and "reward" programs. |

The Steelbook I got yesterday thankfully has no slash. I didn't even check at first, because I thought I was looking at the last one and just grabbed it off the shelf like a reflex action. I then saw a couple others elsewhere in the store and noticed they both had the spine slash, which is when I thought to check mine and breathed a sigh of relief that it had been sparred the blade.

Drove 2 hours to my nearest best buy to pick up my preorder today. Preordered it about 3 weeks ago. Waited and waited for them to help me all for them to tell me that they didn't have any to give me but offered me the standard version. That they had more preordered than physical copies and can't get any from their website to fill stock either. They told me that they may repress it this Christmas. Needless to say, I'm pissed! I preordered it for a reason. They ended up refunding me and that was that. They didn't care at all and weren't willing to make it right. Every best buy in the state (Oregon) has negative inventory. Drove 2 hours back home empty handed with steam coming out of my ears.
If anybody can grab a copy and sell it to me at cost I would be forever grateful. PS: I had to fight and argue to get a refund. They told me that since I used the digital code for the preorder that they couldn't refund me since I downloaded the movie. I raised hell in order for the manager to finally refund me. I hate Best Buy. They are hands down the worst company to have to deal with. |

Okay, I'm getting nervous reading some of this. I preorder online for instore pickup. I can't get over to the store till this weekend. Is there going to be a copy there for me or not? I got the email saying it would be ready on release day, but that was it.

You should be good, they will hold OMS orders for 7 days I believe. If you want, it doesn't hurt to make a quick phone call and double check.
