One thing I can say about Green is that he's very good working with actors. Even Nick Cage surprised me with some great acting in Joe.
Check out George Washington, All the Real Girls and Snow Angels.

They're not everyone's cup of tea and weather you think they are good, great, tremendous, or plain sh*t, one thing for sure is there is no doubt DGG is a talented filmmaker who knows how to tell a story and has a great eye for the camera.

the revelation of them being related I always thought was stupid and didn't make sense. and I still feel that way. does it add anything to the story? no, it doesn't. it's an answer to a question that was never asked in the first place.
So we shouldn't like Halloween II because Carpenter didn't like it?
Trust me, if he doesn't like Halloween II he likes the other sequels even less.
Even this new film, he only got involved because he wants more checks coming his way, he doesn't gives a shit about continuing the story.

my co worker is really excited but to me, its just a remake of H20. Honestly the most exciting thing is Jamie Lee coming off like Dirty Harry.

Thanks, Snow Angels was already in my watchlist.
Yeah, he does have talent. By far the best director to get involved in a Halloween film after Carpenter.

Seen the trailer a few more times since this morning and I still think is just OK. Has anybody here seen the Halloween 1 and 2 modernized trailers? Now those kick ass! But still, I can't wait to see the movie opening weekend.

I hope they do explain part 1's ending in a good context. I'd hate for them to just write it off for the last shot to now be "oh..we cuffed him while laying there and we took him to the cop car before Dr. Loomis turned around."

Maybe he just keeps going and eventually the gunshot wound gets to him and he drops a few blocks away? Hard to miss the guy dressed like that night's murderer. Shows that eventually even this murderous unstoppable man can eventually...just...stop.

And a 61 year old can do lots of damage especially if one matures with an inherent strength...not every human alive needs to pump iron when filled with blood rage.

My hopes are HIGH. This trailer was awesome. I really love the tone. I really love the context thus far.

My prediction (speculation?...if not already obvious) is Michael is mentally dormant while locked up and the site of his mask brings it all back.

Exactly, I don't care who doesn't like Halloween II, it could be Carpenter, Curtis, the best boy, Carpenters driver, my neighbor, etc... lol. I love Halloween II and always will!

I respect that. If the dude just wants to smoke a ton of weed, play X-Box all day long and occasionally cash in on his hard work, he's earned that right. I'd do the same thing in his position.

Halloween II is fantastic, perfect ending for Michael. I know a lot of people use h20 as their ending but for me Halloween 1 and 2 is all I really need. Great send off for Loomis and Michael

The one thing I'm not a fan of, in modern movies is they cant seem to get the lighting/grainy look correct.

I hope the movie is different, but some parts we see Michael in the trailer centered and fully exposed arent the scariest. The closet scene is classic. But the eerie aura of Michael's off-centered presence in the frame (sort of like Wheres Waldo sometimes) is what helps create that tension.

Part 1 and 2 are great and H20 is at average at best. But yeah the ending in 2 is the perfect send off for those 2 great characters.

No, this isn’t H20. She’s actively waiting for him to escape

Halloween II will always have an advantage over the other Myers films...Dean Cundey.

I am definitely going to check out the new film, but the idea that it was ever going to replace Halloween II was silly. Carpenter's opinion be damned, that movie works beautifully alongside the original.

h20 is fun, a little to CW for me though but had some good scenes. IV had its moments but forgettable, V I didn't like at all, Curse I thought was awful as well as Resurrection. The Zombie films are 2 of the worst films I've ever seen.

I love 1,2 and H20 as a trilogy. But 1,2 and 4 is my favorite.

If this film took place after Halloween II with Strode getting revenge at her brother years later would have been great. I can't judge if this movie will be good or bad just yet but the trailer just felt way off and I found myself questioning a lot. Yes I love how Halloween II starts off the same night as the first with Strode going to the hospital and Loomis franticly trying to catch Michael. It had a great plot and filled in any questions we had after seeing the first one. Ill never understand why people don't like it

I don't know about everyone else, but Halloween ended for me with part II which is still the best and only true sequel to the franchise imo,i love how it continues exactly after the first one ended, the rest are so bland even H20 which i do not know why everyone raves about it. I will watch this but will skip theater presentation and wait for home release,it does look really low budget but so was the original and its king.

Halloween

Rob Zombie's Halloween and Halloween 2

Those are my Halloweens. I can find something redeeming in all of the Jason movies and Robert England Freddy movies but just can't stand the Halloween sequels. This trailer doesn't make me think that is going to change.
