So much for Fredrickson being the only explosive back the Crimson Tide have.

Ryan Mallett is such a good QB. Hard to believe he was treated that way by Michigan.

I don't know who that is and don't know of anyone on the Roster with that name , but right now Lacy is their most explosive RB and he's basically a 4th string guy behind Upchurch (could start anywhere), Richardson(could start anywhere), and Ingram (CSA).

Mark Ingram is the best college back I've seen since Carnell Williams, he should be quite the stud in the NFL, hopefully not for one of the Cowboys' rivals.

Carnell? I know everyone is trying to forget he ever existed right now but there was this dude named Reggie Bush who was pretty damn good...

One of the most one-dimensional backs I've ever seen. Dude had blinding speed to bounce outside but lacked power, to be fair to him he seems to be a slightly more physical runner these days. Not worth the #2 pick in the entire draft though.

And he lost to Texas, and probably should have lost to ND one year but terrible calls blew that game.

Coming into this season I really didn't think Alabama had much of a chance of going undefeated again given their brutal schedule and young defense. Starting to think they might have the talent to pull it off. This team has one of the best running games I've ever seen in college football.

I was talking about COLLEGE football, not pro football. And Carnell ain't exactly a gem in the NFL either.

Mark Ingram is such a complete runner. Runs with overwhelming power, speed in and out of his cuts, quickness to burst through the hole and run to daylight, bounces off tacklers like they were children, not a bad receiver either. Should be a top 5 pick when he declares, even if runningbacks should never go before the 3rd round.

Williams had a ton of injuries but at least was ROY, and looked like he'd really be good. Only thing Reggie's done is egg on the Bears D on a long run in the playoffs

No, USC lost to Texas. Reggie Bush had 177 yards of offense that Rose Bowl and 2 TD's. He didn't lose USC the game, their defense did. He may be a mediocre pro but Bush is one of the greatest college players of all-time.

Oh, and he still won 2 national championships. Texas won 1 under Vince Young.

Vince Young, if only for that championship game where he ran for 200+ yards and threw for 200+ yards, is the greatest college player ever.

actually 179 (not including kickoffs) 84 rush, 95 pass... But still couldn't get over 100 in one of the biggest games

That game about sums up him Yeah he has a little razz but can't grind with the big boys.

Oh come on. Vince Young is nowhere remotely close to being the greatest college player of all-time. One national championship and zero Heismans does not = greatest college player ever. Even Leinhart with a Heisman and 2 national championships was more accomplished in college.

I can only speak from what I've seen and the greatest college football player in my lifetime is Tommie Frazier of Nebraska. Frazier is the only player ever to win MVP of three national championship games. He annihilated the then-undefeated Florida Gators in the 1996 Fiesta Bowl 62-24. Unfortunately he suffered from frequent blot-clotting and never had a chance to play in the NFL.
