I see that A COMPLETE UNKNOWN is getting a 4K and Blu-ray release on April 1st in the US. I just realized that its a Searchlight Pictures film, which comes under the Disney banner. Any chance that we will get a release over here. I expect that the answer is NO!

It's ok for small orders

Big orders tend to be in flimsy boxes but I've never had items damaged
Shawscope sets are likely to have their own protection

Hey guys wondering if you use these plastic sleeve bag things I often use them on sealed steelbooks for extra protection and blu rays also used or not used, I was always going to get them plastic protectors more so for the steelbook ones but it was just costing even years ago to much for delivery and it’s probably even worse now.
Not all steelbook can be covered by these when they still have the j card on them but if card is thinner these work.
The likes of Disney ones there j card don’t work but as said it’s more for the steels that fit and just general blu rays I get these for.
Back before Covid these used to be like $3 or $4 tops and then as time has gone on after Covid and shipping and cost of living either seller has catched up with others or just simply greed.
It was only just months ago I got two packs for like $19 odd which has 100 each pack now today it’s saying $14 odd each back.
Not sure what the seller is on but to me the days of these being cheap are long gone, they was perfect for my use anyway and it was annoying as prior to using this person i purchased otters from elsewhere but they was like to long and just looked crap but this one’s was just idea.
Ok be nice if I got ones that fit even the steelbook even with the j cards still on like Disney but said it’s more just for the blu rays.
But if you know ones like these that fit steels with j cards etc I’m interested to know.
But for now I’m more interested in finding someone who is selling ones like this for way less as this seller at $14 odd per pack seems to have no limits on when he is going to stop price rising them.
Maybe I had it good for so long and yes maybe I should have purchased loads way back knowing I will also be using them. But I just got when I need.
But just having paid $19 odd not long ago for two packs and now it’s $14 odd for one I think it’s time to find someone way less.

Just going through David Stratton's new book. I'm kinda shocked at how many movies don't have a physical release let alone a bluray. Even a movie from last year, Kid Snow, didn't get a bluray release.

Yep. Growing up early 90s, my uncle loved westerns. And he had alllllll these VHSs from various Time-Life subscriptions and Warner collections etc. By the time of the late-90s, early-2000s, I thought I'd go and hunt some down on DVD as some of the tapes were atrocious quality.

Aside from the big, well-known westerns (that persist in popularity to this day), hardly any of them had DVD releases. I searched high and low (including using new-fangled services like eBay and Amazon to source imports).

And with each subsequent format transition, fewer and fewer titles have made the upgrade to Blu-ray and now to 4K. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say most of our cinema heritage is or will be publicly inaccessible.

Ouch, seems Jeff Bezos(amazon billionaire) now has contol of 007 /James Bond after getting the control from Barbara Brocoli and Michael G Wilson. Which means - amazon is going to do a Disney and make James Bond series as well as the bond films for it's streaming service, including using characters like Jinx(Halle Berry in Die another Day) or other characters from the 007 universe for movies and tv series.

The end of an era.

Albert R. Broccoli and then his daughter took great care of Bond over the decades. A new film every 3 to 4 years kept the series fresh.

Amazon will ruin it.

The Connery films are already scheduled for a 4K boxset to be released in June through Warner, which means we'll probably get a local release through Roadshow.

If a streaming show happens and it's good, then cool. If it sucks, I'll avoid it just like Rings of Power.

Yup, they will be making lots and lots of Bond related series, using characters from the films like Moneypenny, Blofeld, Q, M etc for their own series and becoming more terrible as they go along.

Yep, Bond is done.
Hope we're wrong but Amazon are going to Disney the hell out of our favourite British spy.
Enjoy and revel in the Bond that we know and love. Will never be the same again.

Long time since I purchased an item through eBay or even possibly with this gst charge at 10%
An item I purchased converted into aud just comes below $1000 aud but with shipping and gst it over a $1000 aud well almost a dollar.
I have no idea what my card will charge me rate wise but should be fee free as always.
But this gst I’m paying is this the only gst I pay so when it lands in here I pay no more or does it get hit with more charges I rather confused.
What would be the point in being charged gst from eBay and then again when it gets here.

I know at present time we can buy from sellers you know or small business etc etc get up to $1000 without any gst Biut as this is eBay I’m not sure what to expect.
I actually forgot as it’s been so long that eBay charges gst but I’m just curious if I’m hit again when it gets here.
Hope this makes sense.

Other than whatever bank charges you are going to be charged (if any) for an international transaction plus currency conversion which is never to our advantage. As long as ebay charged you GST you should not be charged anything extra.

The matter can be different when you buy items (over AUD1000) which are located in countries other than the US, or when they are in the US but they exceed the AUD1000 threshold and cannot be shipped through what it's called ebay global shipping. For example the item is too large or heavy.

I don't think you'll need to worry.
