The whole reveal of Yoda in the originals worked because of the surprise element. Imagination was enough, we didn’t need to see Yoda in combat. It ruined things for me.
I honestly think Lucas lost the plot with those three films.
Thanks for making these movies even more laughable for me. I will now forever see Yoda as a "rocket propelled Kermit The Frog" whenever I endure these movies in the future.

For me, I passed on the Rings but have the Hobbit's on 3D Blu-ray. IMHO, the Hobbit's are some of the best 3D around.

Add: There are so many new releases on BD and UHD BD nowadays that it is getting hard to keep up with what I want.
How can any sane person pass on the Lord Of The Rings movies and instead own only The Hobbit Trilogy?

Remedy this immediately and buy the Lord Of The Rings trilogy extended editions. One can not have enough Middle Earth on the big screen.

Nothing is Free, Disc prices are going up along with High Quality Streaming!
Where are disc prices going up? Just bought my bulk order of 60 odd titles and it cost more or less the same as last year with the exception of a boxset. Most discs cost me £15 with some 3D titles costing me £19. That was the same the last several years.

So what you are saying is people will need to pay more to get the quality they can already get on disc for less than their monthly bill (if that person was paying for this imaginary very high bit rate service) Don't you realise that people are opting for streaming because it’s cheap? If quality concerned them they would buy 4K and Blu-Ray disc.

Heavily compressed subscription is good enough for the unwashed.

I am all about the disks and the quality premium is noticeable in everything vs streaming....However, anything on youtube VP9 compression that's been properly uploaded and given sufficient bandwidth and good encoding can look amazing...Jacob and Katie Schwarz videos are alomost perfect.....makes you wonder what a disk could look like of their demo material.

Also, check out Our Planet on Netflix 4k HDR and I defy anyone to say that doesn't at least match the quality of Planet Earth 2 on disc if not exceeds it in parts when the image is fairly stationary.

Sony has moved away from selling their own digital releases by closing down the Sony digital store and their digital app. Same for their UHD downloads for the FMP-X1 and FMP-X10. Last I heard the FMP's had stopped working. Now an expensive doorstop!!

So streaming compares very well when it’s a still picture?

It doesn't match Planet Earth 2 on disc at all. In fact, not a single Netflix presentation matches a disc at all. There are some HD blurays that actually look better than Netflix 4K presentations.

I think it’s going to be tough for digital lovers in the coming years. 5G and 4K streaming are just not sustainable climate wise with carbon emissions. Get used to very strict caps, very costly 1080p and 4K streaming and surround sound becoming a luxury product. It’s going to be SD all round.

5G is going to increase energy consumption by huge levels as everything becomes connected also.

I got laughed at for making these comments before but I stand by them.

HT disc lovers will also be affected. That’s why I don’t get carried away when Vilya talks about how much quality and freedom we have film wise. It will come crashing down in a few short years.

Allow me, and others, to continue laughing at you then.

I have already shown you detailed lists of major carbon emission sources and all things streaming are an extremely trivial source among them. Heavily compressed 4K streams are here to stay. You may continue to enjoy them.

My new 85" TV uses $52 of electricity per year and that is less than 3% of my total expenditure on electricity. My thermostat and my appliances are the biggest offenders in my home when it comes to power usage the same as it is with most everyone else.

Nothing will be "crashing down" in "a few short years." It is sad that you have to be so afraid AND alone with your baseless worries but there it is; nothing can be done about it except to wait for the passage of time to prove you wrong. Of course, you will just move the goalposts when that happens.

We have unparalleled freedom to watch movies now. I enjoy that freedom every single day and I will continue doing just that until I expire with my remote still clutched in my cold hand. I have ZERO concern for any of the silly webs that you spin; no one else does, either. I am having fun; we're having fun and if you aren't, then that's a real pity.

5G and streaming in general will increase as the population increases, it’s a concern and it’s not just in my head.

5G is a concern especially for carbon emissions.

Population will increase; streaming will increase, neither statements are being contested.

5G has safety and practicality concerns.

Your wackadoodle conclusions from your water logged noodle are what are being contested.

Carbon emissions come down to how things are powered. Renewable clean sources of energy will grow right along with our population. Our power needs will be met.

You can look forward to watching all of the vertically framed object based broadcast short form content in glorious streamed 4K over your 5G network on your 6" phone screen that you could ever want. I'll be sticking with traditional long and short form content, my discs, and honking big displays.

You know me, I wouldn’t bother in that case. It’s go big or go home.

Just remember to watch everything while standing to avoid paying the foretold "ass tax", (concept steedeel, trademark by Octagon) for sitting too long.

He isn’t getting the trademark without royalties to me.

Well, the lucky bum should have to pay somebody for something. He already gets his internet, phone, and cable TV services for free.

The amount of weird and crazy people that walked through the door and I spoke with on daily basis while I was there was eye opening. We had this one customer, he was quite young, he would come into the store regularly, spent an hour or so chatting to us, mostly wasting our time as he often didn’t buy anything, and when he did it was only a $5-$20 item. He seemed pretty normal at first when speaking with him, however, after a few visits, he started harping on about stocking up on stuff we sold, because he was planning to go and live out in the sticks in a bunker when 5G launched . He left his diary in the store one time, so we checked it to see whether he had his contact details in it... we saw some of the things he had written in there, his brain was cooked.

But do you have any objection with the prediction from our resident prognosticator that standard definition content will be all we get in the coming years? That viewing quality will all come "crashing down in a few short years?" Any problems with any of that?
