Upcoming Indian Blu-ray Releases

Technically, the term blockbuster is actually in relation to the budget of a film.
A film that earns 50 crores could be marked as a blockbuster if its production budget was 10 crores or less.
Likewise, a film that earns 150 crores may be a commercial flop if they spent 200 crores to make it.

The thing is, the term blockbuster has an ambivalent meaning based on how it is used. If it used from the perspective of who the target audience is and what the budget is, the term would mean that a "mass" film with a wide target audience and high budget could be considered a "blockbuster" despite its return on investment at the box office.

The way the Indian box office generally utilizes the term, it is a way to rank films based on their return on investment as a percentage rather than total gross income itself.

R... Rajkumar is coming out on Blu in the UK Mar 31 so Indian release should be similar

In fact it's received today itself. Surprisingly the blu-rays are reaching our warehouse in 20 mnts. Just recd a call from the company !

Does the Blu-Ray of R... have the extras that are on the second disc of the DVD version?

Loved R Rajkumar, sonakshi was awesome, songs and dances were very well picturized, and shahid's action scenes were top notch.

Ime so excited its out blu ray seller what about Ram Leela

Ram Leela should be out because it is airing in hd on sunday on set in US at 5.30. When is the blu ray out

I'm waiting for Ram Leela too... and haven't bought R Rajkumar yet, but will as soon as I know about the extras

Regarding Ram Leela (as with R Rajkumar), I'd like to know if the second extras disc makes it onto the Blu-Ray release.

Otherwise, I'll have to double-dip... really just wish the Blu-Rays would come with the extras!

Looks like the Blu-Ray version has the movie on a BR disc and the extras on a second SD/DVD.

That's OK in my book, as an SD disc of extras is better than none at all on the BR - or having to double dip on DVD... hope Ram Leela follows the same idea.

It's a shame the extras aren't HD, but this is a step in the right direction, IMO

What about Dhoom 3? By YRF's standards, the release is due around now. I can't wait to own both Ram Leela and this on blu ray. Lovefilm (UK) say that 17th Feb is the date for D3 but I doubt it.

Ime very happy bullet raja is being released, i almost gave up on it and Boss, i think Boss is the first akshay kumar movie not being released in blu ray, but it was a flop.


Ime really looking foreward to Gunday maybe in a few months, it had fantastic action, and the song Tune Maryi Entriyaan, is very well picturized, the movie is so so but the acting of Ranveer and Arjun is very good, very confident and assertively played, the blu ray will be suberb to watch , cant wait

Ime so excited Ram Leela out in blu ray. I watched the sony hd version and it looked like upscaled 480p, the blu ray will be steller to watch deepika's great perfomances, and all the dances and music we love nagoda, ram chaya leela.
