Have you tried another outlet? So when you have bluray and AVR on and then turn the light off the Triax makes the pop/puff sound. Maybe make sure no loose connections also or maybe some time of interference but would be slim to me.

Edit: get some pics up

I received the Triax sub today. I have calibrated it with the 4520, and it sounds great! I bumped up the bass on the sub from -8 to 0, and now when I watch TV shows I can hear the bass on them too. I never realized that tv shows had bass too, especially as to how deep they go... I have my La Scalas set to crossover @ 80, and the sub to crossover @120. The Denon required me to set the sub level to -8, so I let it and then raised it up to 0 when I was finished. When the Denon was @ -8 it sounded real good but now it sounds great! Boy, what a change this is from listening to the old KLH for 10 years!

The bass is very deep and powerful! The first movie I put on was WWZ. I was not able to crank it up as everyone was home, but @ -20 it was sounding pretty good. My next movie up (for demo) was Tron... The bass on it is unreal, and that was @ -20 also!
I also received my minidsp mic today, so hopefully I can run REW in the next few days and see how it looks. I only have 1 place that the sub can go currently so not much I can do about getting it flat, but someday I will have a garage converted to a HT, and then I will be able to do the sub crawl and get the sub optimized.

All I can say is that even with a non room optimized sub it still sounds great!

If you can get up the scratch to afford this sub you will not be disappointed!

I have the XLR to RCA from Monoprice and it works great on one of my XV15s. I got that because my Emotiva UMC-200 has a balanced sub out in addition to a RCA sub out.

Thanks again for picking me to win this wonderful sub, and a big thanks to PSA for making this give away happen!
Congrats on being the winner and great to hear you are enjoying that beast of a sub.

Last night my wife was watching a movie with me and she was laying on the couch... She fell asleep with her head about 1' from the Triax! I was 2 chairs away in the LP and I was getting massaged by the bass! This was with the 4520 @ -20 or -25 (can't remember which), and the Triax boosted from -8 to 0 on the sub. We were hitting in the 90db+ range on peaks.

I just cranked it up on the new Star Trek movies to 0 and one of our dogs left the room pretty fast! It was @$#%^ LOUD!

I got the green light from my wife to pick out an upgrade for Christmas. Since most of my "wants" are too expensive, I have to keep it within reason. First, I was thinking of upgrading my Onkyo 805 to a Denon X4000 or 4311, but I'm not sure I'm ready to part with my 805 (It's a beast of an AVR!).

Next, I was thinking of just adding an Emotiva XP3 to my 805, but I'm not sure I would notice much improvement over the 805 alone.

So, it brought me to adding a 2nd XV15. I love the XV15 and it does a wonderful job, but 7673 cu. ft. is a lot to ask for just one XV15. It seems to be the best "bang for my buck" for the time being. I would have to wait until mid-December to get it, because my wife said something about getting the kids' gifts first blah blah blah!!

That is a whole lot of space to fill. Congrats on the sub when you do get it!

I really like the results of having dual XV15s. It has made a definite difference in the overall smoothness of my room response and I think it will it will be great for you as well.

I think so, too. When I emailed Tom last year, he told me that just one might be pushing its limit. But two would effortlessly fill the room. I'm already impressed with one. I'm sure adding a 2nd will be

Since there hasn't been much activity here the last few days, I thought I'd liven the place up a bit by announcing that I have just ordered my 2nd XV15. I can't wait to see what two of these bad boys are going to do!!

Thank you, both! I took my HT pictures down, but will probably put them back up. I may have to wait until after Christmas to add the pic of the new sub. It's "supposed" to be a Christmas present. We'll see.

CR136124,
I like the new sofa you added to your HT. If I'm not mistaken, it looks like the St. Malo II collection. The configuration is different that what I've seen, so I am assuming you can change the configuration? If so, then that bodes well for me because we've been thinking about ordering the Diablo collection. Their original configuration won't work as well for me, so I'm hoping that it will be interchangeable to fit.

Hello guys

So thinking about getting a new sub and was really considering a PSA sub. I've reached out to Tom with some questions through a PM but haven't gotten a response back. Thinking he might be on vacation? Does anyone have a direct email for him?

Always best to email me directly. support@powersoundaudio.com

I do try to visit the forums when time allows but we haven't had much of that(time) lately as orders have really exploded in the past 30-45 days. I do apologize for missing the PM(s).
