Not in the US they aren't. There is a German release scheduled for 9/18/14 though.

I thought they have said they have hinted at a number of the now OOP titles being released yet again with new extras and everything. Christine, Fright Night, and one other one was mentioned as being possible I thought.

You can still get this on Amazon.ca who ship worldwide. It's a little more money but if you are that big of fans you have an option. I'd say you have a better chance guaranteeing yourself a copy here than you do places like Best Buy who tend to oversell product.

Amazon.ca oversells frequently as well. I hate to go on and on about it, but that site can't be trusted to guarantee a copy like the US site. It has burned me multiple times in the past when I have been forced to order from there as a last resort.

To say that we were caught by surprise over the frenzied demand for it would be an understatement. Preorders across the board went so quick that we almost had to post soon that we were sold out of the original 5,000 units. We sensed your concerns that would happen too.

We want to give as many fans of Clive Barker’s exceptional film the opportunity to purchase the set and so we went back to Warner Bros (since they have the rights to theatrical cut) and explained the situation. They graciously understood and so we can now officially tell you that we have expanded the number of units for the LIMITED EDITION SET to 10,000 total--which will all be numbered. Once they are sold out though, that will be it.

WOW... I don't know how to feel about this.

I'm glad everyone who wants a copy will pretty much be able to have one!

If anything, it definitely drops the rarity & collectability of the other copies down, but regardless, I never planned on selling my copy, so I can't really complain too much!

Is Nightbreed really THAT good? Is it comparable to other movies? I'm kind of on the fence of blind buying it. But I have no idea what this movie is about or what tone of the movie is like.

Damn well I guess this doesn't make it so limited anymore. I wish it would of stayed at 5,000. Now I bet it will be awhile before it sells out because most of the people that really wanted it already pre ordered.

You can rent it on Amazon for like $3, seems like a small investment to decide whether or not you like it (the theatrical cut at least).

I'm glad that those that didn't get a chance to preorder a copy will be getting a chance, but I'm a little disapointed the price didn't go down, at least slightly... Most of my justification for the price tag to myself was how limited it is/was...

Not necessarily. Some people here weren't able to get in on Amazon, Diabolik or Shout in time, which arguably made it very iffy as to whether other retailers would be able to deliver given such a relatively limited number. Frankly I'm glad that people forced to order elsewhere should be reasonably guaranteed to secure their copy now. The only ones that should really be upset are people looking to add one to their trophy case or big game wall, and *ahem* "profiteers". Please don't hate me, I didn't use the "S" word.
