If WB had done any of these things that you mentioned, I simply would not have purchased it at all. If of course, you are being serious ? |

Just get the set from WBShop with the discount code. Even with tax it worked out to just over $165 for me.

Not to mention the UV code you can sell. There are plenty of ways to help offset the cost a bit. Even though I can't take advantage of the WBShop offer as they don't ship to Australia I still think it'll end up a good price. $190 now with the potential to drop further (I'm thinking $150-160 come release week) and the option to sell the UV code for $30-40. $120 for three seasons will be very reasonable in my opinion considering the extra swag included, the rights issues surrounding the release and the scans of the episodes. If Star Trek TNG can go for $60 release week then I think around $40 per season for Batman after all is said and done will be quite a decent price.

The first thought that came to mind was, "What would Batman do?" Then I remembered that scene from The Lego Movie when Batman ditches his gf to ride in the Millennium Falcon.

Well I'm leaning towards the standard BD boxed set now, as WB was "revealing all" at Comi-Con there doesn't seem to be any references (discs, street dates, etc.) to that set which surprises me.

When it ships but there will be a pending for that amount on your bank statement. I forgot they did that. I checked my account this morning and I was like looking at the charge and I was thinking WTF before I remembered about preordering it.

I completely agree about maintaining the 4:3 aspect ratio.
However, the Wonder Woman TV Series is also in 4:3 aspect ratio but recently the series has been made available in widescreen and great HD on iTunes. Whilst the top and bottom are slightly trimmed, there is actually more footage at the sides that was unseen in the 4:3 version. It looks incredible and the trimming isn't noticeable at all. With Batman I'm happy its finally getting released. I would've been happy with the DVD but I'm over the moon its getting a Blu-ray release! And it'll look amazing in 4:3. |

The extras look truly pathetic. Did they even talk to anyone besides Adam West and some no name "celebrities?"
There's nothing in terms of a documentary explaining why it took 15 years into the DVD/Blu-Ray format for this to be released. We all have a good idea, but wouldn't it have been cool to see some of the challenges? There's nothing about why the series was canceled or how it even became a show on network TV in 1966. I am very surprised at Warner because with a crown Jewel like this, it deserved a lot better and they usually deliver a lot better. |

Funny that all the info we can get at ComicCon we have to beg for technical specs! They shoud let us know the techs on the press releases. |
