Only Yesterday is a banger in case anyone is wondering. Definitely my favorite non-miyzaki Ghibli title

Kiki's Delivery Service now down to $16.19 at Amazon

I found out all of these $16.19 Steelbook deals are pricematches of Barnes & Noble. They also have Arrietty, Ponyo and The Wind Rises. I would link to them, but this site hangs when I post B&N links for some reason.

man so i have the Collected Works box set, and now the steelbook of Boy and the Heron.

I've kinda been itching to have the special features so I'm considering trading for the gkids releases but some of those steelbooks are OOP right? maybe i'll just wait it out and see if they do 4ks or rerelease the steelbooks?

just not sure what route to go if i sell the box, but ideally they'd all be in similar packaging lol

I was told in another thread that the GKIDS edition of Castle in the Sky has an audio glitch on the Japanese version where the dialogue comes out of the left speaker instead of the center during the last act. I couldn't find any other mention of this across multiple other threads, reviews, and forums. Can anyone with that disc confirm for me if that's true? I've got the Disney disc but would like the better subs and music options from the GKIDS, but having the JP audio being messed up would suck.

I’ve just opened the several steel books I purchased new and sealed iirc off eBay a couple of years ago to find that only two of them have the booklets that are advertised as being included. I love me a booklet so marginally miffed but was aware it was a possibility from reading others similar experience on here before but don’t know why it took me so long to get round to checking. I’ve emailed gkids customer service to ask if they have any spares and if so whether they can send them out to me, but even on the chance they do I doubt they will once they find out I didn’t buy them through a regular retailer and would need them to be shipped to the UK where I am (although having said that, I’ve got things in my stackry locker I need to forward to me here so maybe I can get them to send them there)

I do not recall that while watching it at all.

Unsure if it was in this thread or one of the other Ghibli's but wanted to thank the poster who pointed out the Shout World of Studio Ghibli bundle.

I had been trying to find a legit copy of the Miyazaki set forever. The entire Ghibli package at Shout (22 discs) was a pretty good deal considering the price of the single discs here in Canada. Came out to about $20 a movie.

There are about 67 of the bundle left last I checked.

Edited to add:

Only 3 discs came without slipcases:

Nausicaä Of The Valley Of The Wind
Pom Poko
Earwig And The Witch
