Funny that they go and release Playtime on blu but not M Hulot's Holiday,Mon Oncle or Trafic.

I thought the same but I know the Playtime transfer is a new one and that it was shown I believe in 70MM so I figure the amount of detail could be really nice on this title. I would guess the other two films could be released eventually. I wouldn't mind Trafic on BD also.

I did pick up Mon Oncle and M. Hulot's Holiday as part of the Barnes sale over the weekend.

I got both M. Hulot's Holiday and Mon Oncle Criterion Collection DVD's a few months back at my local thrift shop for 4 bones each and they were factory sealed! Got a mint copy Royal Tenenbaums Criterion Collection for a buck at the same thrift shop last Saturday!

That is just crazy... the best deal I think I ever got for a Criterion was on the barnes and Noble sale ... I had some 20% off coupons plus my member card I got some of the 79.99 sets like Carl Dreyer / Monsters and Madmen for about 30.00 a set. and Berlin Alexanderplatz about 47.00ish.

I got the 49.99 titles like Scenes from a Mariage and Battle of Algiers for about 19.00 each. 39.99 titles like Missing, or Divorce Italian Style etc I was getting for about 15.50ishw/tax

Anyone know if Criterion will release Man Bites Dog on Blu-ray anytime soon? I saw that Amazon France had a Studio Canal pre-order release some time ago (that's where I got my avatar), but this has been canceled since then.

Has anyone's order for Repulsion through Amazon gone to "shipping soon" status? I just ordered a few minutes ago. Most of their pre-orders ship on Monday. Mine still gives me the option to cancel. Usually, if the status doesn't go to "shipping soon" after several minutes, there's a good chance the title won't ship out that day.

Mine hasn't changed, I placed my order a few days ago though. My (free shipping) estimate is August 12, 2009 - August 18, 2009

Mine has, which will most likely make this my SECOND Criterion title since "For All Mankind" has NOT gone to "shipping soon" status (I ordered it yesterday)...

BTW, I've had titles not listed as "shipping soon" ship out before orders that had "shipping soon" on them. In fact, I've had some orders with "shipping soon" take three or four days to ship...

I have a copy of the Repulsion BD on hold at a local Barnes and Noble for 50% off plus a coupon I have. Usually they get their stock today for Tuesday releases. they are usually nice and hold them if you call and ask to speak to someone in the DVD dept. Just ask if they came across any, if so can they please hold it for you for tomorrow.
