Default Problems

Both Office Max and Fed Ex have refused to print covers for me this week (this was never a problem in the past). Apparently they just got an email regarding the printing of copy written materials. So, no more custom printing unless I do it at home.

I believe someone named Kernie is the creator of those covers. You check out his portfolio here at Hirescovers

Default Daredevil - Work in Progress

THE COVER BELOW IS A WORK IN PROGRESS.
Just thought I'd share an update on how It's
looking so far. Changed the front to something more custom,
rather than just an official poster for the front. The back is
mostly done, other that the specs and features.

Default Road House

Put this together in advance of an upcoming reissue. This uses the back from the current release. I'll update this when I get my hands on either the US or German reissue. This version is available at EuphoricFX.org or by PM. I'll post the updated cover when that happens.

Why wouldn't they? Netflix exclusive shows have been released on Blu-ray. House of Cards, Orange is the New Black to name a couple.

Sorry, I meant that as more, I am impatient and I want it now, than I don't think they will release it.

Gotcha, but it will still be a few months before it drops on Blu-ray.

Looks great! Can't wait for the BD release. Loved this show. Have you made the back yet?

Does anyone have full covers for the following movies:

Also if anyone made a custom Cover Art for the Bonus Disk that came with the 31 Disk set of Harry Potter...

Thanks in advance!

Looks like there is something going on. I have been buying lots blu-ray from united states (I live in europe). But last movie I tried to buy was refused and I got my money back claiming there was a shipping problem, but at the same order I did received a book same company and that I got.

So think there is something that they try to stop importing of movies from other sones like from A (north america) to B (europe).

Default Seven Samurai

WARNING: The following background discussion is spoiler-tagged because it is intended only for diehard fans of Criterion digipak conversions. All others are likely to find it terminally boring!

[Show spoiler]Seven Samurai was my first Criterion digipak conversion, about 2 years ago. It was basically just a quick and dirty modification of a 3118x1748 customized scan that I found on one of the cover sites. I simply resized it and widened the spine to fit the Criterion clear case. That process produced geometric distortion of images (and everything else, for that matter), but the resulting cover was decent enough to print for my own collection and to upload to EuphoricFX (it was never posted in this thread).

Since then—starting with Foreign Correspondent—I’ve done nine “custom re-creations” of Criterion digipaks, and decided that it was time to do my own Seven Samurai from scratch. Since this is one of the most seminal films in the Criterion catalog, it seemed fitting to go “all in” by retyping the text on the back in its entirety, replicating Criterion’s layout. However, what looked great on the monitor didn’t turn out so well when printed. The unavoidable scale reduction from digipak to keepcase cover (about 15% in this case) mandated a font for the “special features” section that simply looked too small on the printed cover. To compensate, I removed the photo collage and the bottom banner so that larger fonts could be used for the text. This may well seem like a sacrilege () to Criterion fans, but allow me to point out that very few Criterion covers place photographs or other design elements between the synopsis and the special features listing (check your collection!). I think the custom-modified covers work better, but I’m making the “original” versions available as well.

Here are my 4 variations (all sized for the Criterion clear BD case at 3240x1900 pixels) and some inside art to go with them. The custom versions are available for download at EuphoricFX, or PM me with your e-mail address to receive all 4 covers and the inside art in full resolution.

CUSTOM VERSIONS:

Version 1

Seven Samurai FINAL v1 PREVIEW.jpg

Version 2

“ORIGINAL” VERSIONS (digipak replications):

Version 1A

Version 2A

INSIDE ART (3290x1950 pixels):

I did this basic cover for Regarding Henry with no special features since the DVD really has none either.
