I agree that Meyer is NOT overrated, in the slightest bit. He's been more than successful at every stop. Now, I will say, he needs some better assistant coaches on his staff. The loss of Tom Herman has been huge.

Meyer is clearly the #2 coach in college football behind Saban. I'd say Saban, Meyer, Swinney in that order.

I actually think Meyer's Utah tell may have been the best team in college football that year they went undefeated.

The CFP is likely to have some big decisions this year. It seems extremely unlikely any big 5 school except Alabama will go undefeated. Much as I like the Canes they are almost guaranteed to drop a game the way they're playing. Right now if I had to guess I'd say Alabama, Clemson, OSU and either a Pac-12 or Big-12 school makes it.

UCF is up to 14 but I know we can't make the playoff with no games against a quality power 5 team. This is why we need an 8 team playoff. Lets in an undefeated minor conference school like UCF.

Oregon Ducks right back on track with a dominant win over a tough Utah team!

The selection committee should really consider picking a four-loss team for the playoffs, if that team is firing on all cylinders at the end of the year.

...it's about who's playing their best football.

You are forgetting Notre Dame, they are not leaving a 1 loss Notre Dame out imo.

That hurricane might really screw UCF. I know GT isn't the best and will end up with 5+ losses, but a win there could have really helped UCF's case.

Forgot about Note Dame. Yeah, they finish with 1 loss they will be in. They still have to win road games at Miami and Stanford though.

You could end up with a scenario where Alabama, UGA and ND all have 1 loss. ND lost to UGA, and UGA or Alabama loses to the other in the SEC championship.

Which is why I think the CFP should expand to 6. Every year, one of the P5 conferences gets screwed. This year, it's possilbe that two such conferences are left out.
