Canada First Blood 4K Blu-Ray problem!!!

Yes! Mine gets screwy exactly the same way too! I'm about to order my third 4k copy... hoping this one will work properly... My player is the Panasonic DP-UB820 and haven't had any problems other than with this disc. First one i got was really bad, the second has very slight colored pixillated glitches, so it's not a problem with all discs, but maybe an encoding fault with a particular batch?!?! Crossing my fingers...

I played my US copy of Rambo III on my Panasonic last night (about 15 minutes of) at about the mid-way point with no problems. Can you guys give me a timecode point to look at where you are getting the playback issues? Thanks for your help....

It's not Rambo III, it's First Blood and around 35 minutes in... if i eject the disc and re-load, it's never exactly in the same place... but lasts at least 20 minutes... if it doesn't freeze up altogether! F**king annoying

Mine screw in the scene where Colonel Trautman is talking to Teasle about Rambo's abilities and then resumes about 5 or more seconds later, when Rambo is hunting the pig in the woods. A real sh.t!

So nice job on the new transfer of these films, but minus several points for the person responsible for the lettering on the film menu. The word 'Restoration' is spelt with the French usage of 'Restauration'. Such a usage is neither Tradional or unhygeinice!*

*2 spelling mistakes i discovered at an Indian restaurant back in February. The food was great though...

Anyone have the Nordic 4K releases?

How do they compare. Particularly Rambo 3?

They seem to be ports of the international discs with some audio tracks removed. I only own the first one and while the PQ looks identical to the international versions the audio sync is just slightly off :/

I had playback issues again on my 820 with First Blood UHD the other night. Any replacement discs available?

Just an FYI

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Rambo...lu-ray/254145/

I can confirm that this edition is uncut and contains the horse trips and also has English player generated subtitles for the Russian dialogue. Just checked my copy. There are two English subtitle tracks. Option 6 is the one you want

Got mine for £12 off Rarewares on Ebay

No. 4K UK version was cut for horse falls. Some of the European uncut releases didn't have the English subtitles either.

After working my way through these recently forgot how awesome the soundtracks are to these movies. Jerry Goldsmith really lifts these above your average action movie.

I’m quite surprised that First Blood didn’t make more money from its original 1982 release, given how much Rocky III made in the same year? I would have thought The same people would have gone to see First Blood seeing as Stallone was such a Box Office draw at that time!

I would dare to go even further and state that his score to "First Blood" was the birth to the modern day action score, combining minimalistic orchestra with synth droning, which is basically still the recipe today. Also, the "It's A Long Road" theme is amongst the best he's written.

If you want a good chuckle, watch Gremlins 2, he parodies his own Rambo music for when Gizmo battles the spider.

I was actually just listening to that today lol. I was also thinking how many motifs of Goldsmiths I can hear in a lot of his music for other movies. I especially enjoy his score for Explorers, some kinda funky stuff going on in there and very Gremlins sounding.
