Personally I can't wait to see it. I've got full confidence it's in good hands and I think Disney like with Marvel knows to take a more hands off approach with such a great asset, which ultimately is what will make it pay out.

I wasn't a fan of that mashup at all. Totally messed up the flow.

there are a few mash ups out there. I cannot post the link to the others since I am at work. I apologize for even mentioning the others when I could not back up my claims.

Yes, the seating chart is for Dolby cinema, mentioned here http://www.soundandvision.com/conten...inema-new-york

http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/sh...near-you/23255

I didn't buy tickets right away, so I went with best available situation.

I only went to the TS Imax, since that was the only one in the city showing the Game of Thrones experience.

Well, if you're looking for the best situation and you're dead-set on IMAX, you should see it in actual IMAX and not IMAX-lite.

And, also, your comment about the bed bugs makes no sense since you're trying to see the movie 5 days after it's opened. In fact, I would say it's pretty insane how many seats ARE taken up already at the LS theater. That just goes to show you how many people know that LS is real and TS isn't.

Doesn't particularly matter. The square footage the 2K digital projectors can fill on that screen reduces it's effective size by roughly 40% (and that's for a 1.9 image, not 2.40). That might still seem huge, but with how the seating's placed in proportion to the screen, it doesn't seem like it.

Personally, I couldn't care less because I hate IMAX. It gives me a headache. I'm just sayin...

its for those people who want to have a larger than life experience.

As if a movie about a different galaxy far far away wasn't enough already...go figure.

I love it big and I love it loud, just like my sex.

However, there's always a line to be crossed...and IMAX is it.

I know this came out some time ago, but I just saw it. It is actually getting me more excited than all the trailers so far!

Right, but with the 2K digital projectors, the image isn't filling that massive screen. Visiting the Metreon in San Fransisco this past summer (a screen ever so slightly larger than Lincoln Square), the actual field of view of the projected image was less than than my local IMAX-lite theater (36x56 screen). Sure, the projected image at the Metreon was larger than 36x56, but because the seating is arranged to accommodate a much larger field of view, the visual effect is that the image appears smaller than my local IMAX-lite.

I'm merely saying that since Lincoln is using the 2K system for Force Awakens, it's effectively an IMAX-lite theater too.

Yup, Lincoln's liemax screen size is somewhere between 70-75 feet wide based on my eyeballing it. Also, for the ticket comparison, the guy was using the Dolby Cinema at Empire, if you look at the Empire IMAX, it is filling up (looked for a showing Friday there but only had front row seats together, so went with the Real D location on 84th st)

Yep, I've been trying to explain the same thing to folks on this side of the water regarding the BFI.

Boxoffice.com is predicting $762M domestic. Not too shabby.
