Netflix will provide it as an option (just as many other providers and players have done for many years) but they are never going to encourage anyone to watch everything sped up and there is absolutely 0% chance of them ever dropping the option to watch at normal speeds.

Personally, I do not care. Why? Because I choose not to use it.

Other people are free to make their own choices and I would not infringe upon their right to do so. None of us needs you to be our Netflix nanny.

I asked him something similar and he ignored my question also. He does that with all questions for which he has no answer; he avoids them.

He ignores all questions that ask what can we do to avoid the cruel fates that he envisions. He just wants to scream "the sky is falling" every chance that he gets.

Whether someone streams or not is irrelevant. No one has to used the variable speed option if they don't want to. Steedeel has used Blu-ray players with variable speeds and he simply ignored that option, Netflix users will do the same thing.

It’s not that ignored it, I just never skipped through content. Heck, I don’t even pause films 99% of the time.

Well, you kinda have to be aware of something before you can ignore it. Ignore lists would be rather difficult to use otherwise.
