I see people complaining certain movies are cookie cutter and formulaic, but then they turn to a different movie and complain about the pacing, the story, other choices, and so on and so on. Forget about letting someone tell you a story and share their vision of it. It sounds like what they crave is a cookie cutter. I'm all for critique and discussion, but sometimes all the "what they should have done" talk just comes off as so arrogant.

Personally, I have no problem with cookie cutter. You can do cookie cutter well, and you can do it poorly.

It's part of the cinematic diet, and I'm cool with it.

I also watch Andrei Tarkovsky movies for fun, so there's that.

The thing about cookies, at least for me, is that even if they are the same shape and have the same ingredients, I still enjoy the hell out of them, they taste good and I am satisfied afterwards.

Sometimes I see people criticizing things and it feels like they are just using “buzz” descriptions to describe movies that they might not have actually scene. So there will never be an in-depth explanation of their issues just a link to someone else.

I'm a couple of pages late, but there's only two Terminator movies.

After the first two there's a bunch of daft fan films that have a couple of nifty moments peppered throughout them, but the "canon" starts at 1 and ends at 2 and nobody needs to own any more than those (although I accidentally own T3).

David Arnold's score is really good. Replacing that would make the film worse.
