There won't be anymore Septembers?

I didn't know I had to put next year for people to get it, since it's the next one.

Oh next year?? Any how are you privy to this kind of insider scoop so far in advance??? Any word on what February's titles might be? And while we're at it, when is the newsletter with the new clue coming out? It usually hits our inboxes near the 1st of the month or so...

The poster on Criterion forums cited a French language source stating that Gaumont & CC had reached agreement which would result in CC discs being released on 1st anniversary of Chabrol's death.

I wanna see The Battle of Algiers done pretty soon. I feel like that's one that should've been put on Blu a long time ago.

Just received Seven Samurai together with a few other items from amazon and damn DHL had made a dent in the (very weak) box from amazon and of course Seven Samurai was placed right at the dent.

Crumpled one side of the box

But amazon fixed me up with a new order using the same international express shipping for free I am located in Norway so express shipping isn't cheap either.

But I guess it was their fault to begin with. I place a $1000 order and those packers they have treat my items like Not so nice things.

Very nice! Maybe, we'll get to see one new cover per day for the BBS set.

These things kinda look like digibook type cases, similar to the UK StudioCanal releases. Look at the top right hand corner of that picture.

The packaging is exactly like the discs in the Cassavetes DVD box set, the By Brahkage set, and the recently released 3 Silent Classics by Josef von Sternberg, plus countless others... so, yes, they are digibook-type releases but not as thick as the UK Studio Canal releases.

Perhaps, but the DVD set was pretty decent so not high on my priority list.

(There, that should help. )

Just an FYI...

Not that they can't try an override (hit and miss with whoever is the manager at my local B & N), but despite what the coups say, a $39.99 CC BD is getting the 50% off plus $2 for the in place member discount (10%), so it's flagging the system and NOT allowing use of the $5 DVD coup, as it's below $20, after all the other discounts.

Agreed. A film of its caliber should be on BR.
