I'm still not sure about Richt. He's always been a great recruiter but loses the big games when it counts. He did at Georgia and he's doing the same at Miami. Nice guys don't necessarily make great coaches.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the guy translating into a great NFL player. Darnold was a very good college QB and has a lot of talent but you can't overlook the flaws in his game. Darnold really regressed between 2016 and 2017. Personally I don't think he'll live up to the hype in the NFL.

He won't. And USC does not have any history of solid or great QB's in the NFL, outside of Carson Palmer (before his injury in 2005). He's still playing but no where near the level he had been playing before.

And when I originally said "Darnold sucks" I was specifically referring to last night... because he did. The whole team did. And I said that as I was watching the game (maybe you should have common sense to see that) but he also sucked it up this year. I don't see him having a great NFL career.

I was wrong on Watson. I really thought he wouldn't make it in the NFL, and his short season proved me wrong. Granted, he did have an amazing collegiate career, so that wasn't an issue for me - just the playing style.

Here's the thing..... I keep hearing how he's one of the top rated QB's to go into the draft (not yet official, I know) and I just don't see it. I'm no scout... but I don't see how he compares to some of the other former first rounders, at least that high. He can make some nice passes here and there, but not on a consistent basis.

If he gets good coaching but I'm not sure he's getting it there. Bad thing for him if he's drafted high to a team with no QB then they will put him out there and that's not going to end well. At least he'll get paid. Funny but it's a tough choice for him to make. I would go back to school and take the gamble. His arm talent will still be there so he should be a top pick again next year no matter what. Barring injury.

I’ve read that NFL talent evaluators think his growth has been stunted by poor coaching at USC. They feel it would be better for him to get drafted and just essentially be given a redshirt year in the NFL.

Root for Michigan... I know, hard to do for an OSU fan. If Michigan wins the Big Ten goes 8-0 in Bowl games. I'm pretty sure 8-0 would be the best Bowl record for any conference in history.

Well, that or Michigan loses and you can laugh at them for blowing the perfect Big Ten bowl season.

I don't think he sucks. He is just very overhyped. It's like they already have this guy as a franchise QB before this season and Jesse Palmer still saying without hesitation he should be the 1st pick or 1st QB picked in the upcoming draft right after the Cotton Bowl on Friday night. I don't know if staying another year will help him that much. I don't see his draft situation getting much better if he stays another year.

In my bowl picks I first had USCjr but thought better of it. No way they can move the ball on that D. Plus I'd rather lose my group than win with picking USCjr.
