Not exactly what I was thinking Peter.

Still though. I wonder if that scenario would even work into the frame work of this film.

Hey, you're talking to a guy who remembers watching the Lapti Nek *music video* on USA's Night Flight back in 1983!

I was spared that video, since we only got 3 channels and PBS. We got "Friday Night Videos", and that wasn't ever shown; just pop culture videos.

Though that would have been an interesting view back then.

I couldn't make it through Aftermath. Just didn't give a turd. Tried both Kindle and Audiobook versions, just couldn't hold my attention.

However, I quite liked the "Journey to Star Wars : Moving Target, a Princess Leia Adventure". Most is told in a flashback to a mission between ESB and ROTJ, although the wrapper chapters happen in TFA-era. They are "young adult" books, but I found it really entertaining. Enough so that I want to check out the Han and Luke books as well.

That Daisy Ridley instagram pic would seem to indicate that the music for the movie isn't done yet, which signals an interesting change in approach from Lucas, who would typically have JW record the score around 5 months before the release of the movie. One major problem with AOTC, for instance, was that Lucas was chopping and changing the movie right to the very last minute (infact, beyond the last minute as the theatrical and digital theater / DVD versions are quite different from another), consequently William's score was utterly mangled in the process. If the score for TFA is still being laid down this close to the wire, that suggests that he's scoring a movie that is already locked, and we are likely to see a purer Williams score that's all the better for not being interfered with.

Good news.

All Star Wars films recorded the score between December/January/February before the May release, except for A New Hope which was recorded in March. They're done very well. It's the reshoot that was causing the problem in Attack of the Clones. And Ben Burtt should be mentioned too.

As for The Force Awakens, the recording session started way back in June. It's being done through many separate sessions, I heard that this is due to Williams' health. So there's no real change of approach.

Someone commented on JJ's video, that "The Force Awakens" is an anagram for "Ewoks Hate France". This goes to show you how little of a life the most rabid fans actually have.

Fun speculation:

Or maybe there's more to it, maybe The Force Awakens is not about Vader's grandchildren? The most recent rumor mentions that Rey's parents like some random characters, like they're not related to the Skywalkers.

For what it's worth, Kathleen Kennedy said the following:
Quote:
"The Saga films focus on the Skywalker family saga. The stories follow a linear narrative that connects to the previous six films. The Force Awakens follows Return of the Jedi and continues that generational story. The Anthology films offer opportunities to explore fresh characters, new storylines and a variety of genres inside the Star Wars universe." source

She thinks she's Star Wars first villain? How about Zam Wessel?

True, but Zam Wesell is so minor that she borders on being insignificant when talking female representation among the baddies, and either way you slice it it's pretty crazy that across six films with a very generous amount of villains we got one female villain with a couple minutes of screen time at the beginning of one movie. Captain Phasma is the first time ever we're getting a woman in a part comparable to guys like Tarkin, Boba, Maul, Jango, Dooku, etc. and I think that counts for a lot.
