His inability to lay off of people who specifically ask him to do just that has convinced me that he's not a swell guy.

And yeah, English is definitely not his mother tongue, unless British schools are really that bad, of course.

My prediction is he's actually Portuguese. He sports a Cristiano Ronaldo avatar who is also Portuguese.

Also no, our schools aren't that bad. It's just if the student is willing to learn or not.

Honestly, our schools in Scotland are shocking. They don't teach kids to read, write or pronounce things properly. Kids spend all their days typing on their phones and it's ruined our language. So many people I know of all ages don't know the difference between to-too, there-their or aloud-allowed. We've even made up spellings to sound "Scottish" in text speak. I find it remarkably embarrassing and it's depressing, to say the least.

If his English is poor, it may be that he is Scottish lol.

Us is a stupid movie and Lupita's performance as the crazy one is laughable. I don't get the massive critical praise.

My 7 year old son is reading above grade level. Schools in my area seem to be fine.

He can even read the intertitles on Charlie Chaplin movies ("the funny man" he calls him).

Us is a movie where the thematic concept was thought out but never integrated into the actual text of the story very well.

The world building just invites a host of questions that the movie simply has no time or inclination to answer, creating a weird world that doesn't feel right because the different pieces don't actually fit together well.

He’s been posting the exact same stuff, and getting the same attention and reactions on forums for well over a decade. Once banned he moves on to another forum and does the same again. If he is in his early 20s as once stated he must have started when when was 9 or so. Most likely not, and going by the way he seeks attention and validation, most likely with a condition or other.

His grammar was definitely atrocious. I always doubted he was English. If he was, my theory was that he was a chav who couldn't be bothered to study.

I also think he's older than he makes out to be. And if that is true, that's even sadder than him being younger.

If that's true he'd be using words like "innit" or "bruv" or "m8" at the very least. Even chavs have a bit of knowledge about English English and would've been able to decode at least part of my English English since they sometimes use those kinds of words - even if it's rare, it happens. I would also be able to detect some of the "chav" coming through his words, of which there is none to be detected.

Yeah he mentioned seeing other people on here on another forum. But I just figured he was looking for a fill after getting chucked out from another forum, but to fib about your age (badly at that) is just plain weird.

I can’t believe people can live such a sad existence that they have to put on an act to discuss something as banal as movies online.
