I'm wanting to get them for used Criterions that I've purchased from eBay. Criterion does not replace the standard DVD cases, so that's why I've been looking at buying some extras.

Do they have to be from Scanavo. I've seen clear DVD cases on Ebay, various quantities, on the cheap.

Yeah...that's what I meant...sorry if I was confusing.

Gotta admit...you showed some strong CC and CG skills on that slipcase thread.

I just personally would prefer the Scanavo cases that originally came with the movies. That's all. I know I could go an alternate, cheaper route but I'm trying not to, if I can help it. Thanks, though.

Yes, DVD. That's why I said DVD.

It seems as if we're both guilty of not fully reading and comprehending each other's posts.

So I'm looking to go back to Barnes & Noble soon and do some buying. Curious on if anyone had any recommendations on some Criterion blu titles that I know nothing about except for the brief description on Criterion's website.

Days of Heaven
Howard's End
Gomorrah
Summer Hours
Ride With the Devil
Close-Up
Everlasting Moments
The Secret of the Grain

Basically, are any of these titles higher recommended than others? I feel like I have no clue even were to start with these...

I need some serious help.

I had account with BN where I purchased from their Criterion sale back in June/July. Transaction went great.

Now my browser keeps tabs of my usernames/passwords on most sites, including BN, & I placed my order for this current Criterion sale. However I never received an email confirmation. I try to log on to my BN account & it didn't recognize my email account...then when it came for their site to shoot me a message for my password question...I never received it. I don't have the order number because I closed my window...so I'm screwed.

I call customer service. They said my email account was closed with no specific date or further detail. They said that it's possible that my order went through, because you can place an order without a BN account...but that they need a order number...which I don't have.

-So do I wait it out in hopes that my order has indeed been processed (without the ability to receive email content from them).
-Or do I sign up again, re-place my order in hopes that my first attempt did not go through.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

My two personal faves are bolded...can't go wrong with either of them.

Days of Heaven and Summer Hours are my favourites from that list, though admittedly I have not seen Ride With The Devil or Secret of the Grain.

The ones in bold are the ones I've seen (I own Ride with the Devil and The Secret of the Grain). Out of these I enjoyed The Secret of the Grain the most - a very interest story. Days of Heaven and Ride with the Devil were a step below for me.

I'd recommend Gomorrah on that list. One of my favorite Criterions in my collection that focuses on crime especially. Another fantastic one is Revanche. I recommend those two.

Barnes & Noble's customer service is horrible! I am still fighting with them after they screwed up my order. Anyway, you should have received an email confirmation right after ordering as a guest like I did.

Close-Up and Days of Heaven if you like Malick. If not, then choose any of those.

If your credit card gets charged for two different orders, you can always take the duplicate back to a store for refund, or just refuse the (second) package when it arrives (don't open it, else you'll have to pay for return shipping (again, unless you have a store nearby, then open away, keep whichever one is in better shape)). Do whatever you can when you place your re-order to make sure you get free shipping, as store returns don't take into account the shipping and won't refund that.
