Not sure if you are trolling or not.

You won't have access to the DLC missions until you purchase them, but you will be able to get the new armor and weapons that came with the new DLC. So that is what the big patch download was for, not because the game is broken. Bungie has been pretty good about listening to the community and fixing stuff to make the game better.

After I found the game a real bastard when playing as my friends Warlock, I went with the Hunter class and picked the robot race. While my friends abilities seem much better than mine (that fire gun thing is practically useless), in just a normal skirmish my class seems much more noob friendly. He seems to be able to take more damage, reload faster, his grenade is more useful, so is his melee. He also looks badass, like a proper warrior, my friends Warlock armour looked ridiculous, all garish and neon.

I know the Hunters are meant to be all about rifles, stealth and range but as secondary weapon ammo is always so scarce compared to your primary, I've found it much easier to just run around and shoot people in the face with the hand cannon and then stab them in the face with my knife when reloading.

As it isn't as tough as when I was playing as my friends character, I'm not struggling as much as he did and I'm enjoying myself a lot more. Bullshit stealth enemies right at the end of a really long darkness slog are unfairly punishing but they've only caught me out once so far. Thralls are by far the most frustrating enemy, I just can't seem to shoot fast enough. Levelling up is pretty slow though, even for an RPG, at least the heroic options for past levels makes grinding a little less of a bore.

Only bit I am stuck on so far is a scout mission with a series of beacons, came up for recommended level four but all beacons lead me to a ?? enemy who kills me in one hit. Am I missing something?

Oh yeah, PVP, apparently there are no "level advantages" but I guess we have a different definition of the phrase as the game dropped me into a freeforall where everyone was thirty levels higher than me and one shotted me over and over. Are online games still this unbalanced?

As an aside, what does all the discipline and strength attributes etc mean with your armour?

As for the regular, and new trolls in this thread,

Some of the biggest complainers I have come across are gamers. They always find something to complain about, and thinking they are entitled to something, and some of those things reach into the absurd.

Weird I got so much backlash for my post, I just wanted to post my feelings around the game I didn't think I came across like I was trolling or overly negative but the internet can be pretty sensitive.

Any way, finished my first Strike mission and holy Jesus that was hard. It was like playing ten missions all in one go, it didn't help I was playing with complete strangers who kept quitting. Very satisfying when I finally completed it, though, and I was by far the best player out of the people joining in. It's always nice to just get a little compliment from the game now and then to be sure of your ability, felt like a total badass being the Last Guardian standing and saving the day.

Does anyone know if it is easier to get Vault of Glass and Crota's End armor on Normal or Hard?

Also, if I was to run Normal first, receive the drops, and then run Hard, can I get armor from both difficulties?

Yea you do get drops from each run as long as you do normal first. If going for gear then Normal then Hard is probably best since normal takes the hard weapons out of the pool drop so better odds of getting Armor to drop.
