This MUST have been addressed before, but 900+ pages is a bit much to read through. What paper do you use to print off your covers, and where do you buy it? Thanks.

This is my preferred paper to used for custom covers. It's the closest to the actual covers' paper as I could find, you can print on both sides (if you like interior art), and my Marvel covers look great on this paper. You can buy it directly from HP's online store, or you could go to Office Depot, where I found it the first time. Hope this helps you.

I've used thicker photo paper in the past and really liked the results as it felt sturdier, however this is probably as close to the official paper as you're ever going to find, and it's printable on both sides. It looks and feels like a retail product when printed correctly with high resolution images.

It depends on what kind of program you are looking for. If you are simply looking for an easy photo editing program, there is one called PAINT which is a free program. If you are looking for something more advanced, I would advise you to look into GIMP which is an open source free program. I know that there are several tutorials about how to use GIMP's more advanced features online, you just have to look for them. As for myself, I bought a copy of Photoshop Elements, which has a lot of the features of the full Photoshop program (minus some of the more advanced features) for about one-quarter the price. Good luck deciding on which one works best for you.

The Maltese Falcon

This was an old dvd cover I made, aiming for a book jacket style. I finally bought the Blu-Ray this year and finished the conversion, so here it is.

Default The Long Goodbye

Kino released Robert Altman's The Long Goodbye about a year ago, and Arrow Films in the UK about a year before that. The only thing I liked about the Kino release, as compared to the Arrow disc, was about half the front cover. Here is my US style cover for the UK disc with unique cover art blending the Kino art with elements from theatrical one-sheet art.

Has anyone ever done a cover for the 4 disc Omen Collection to fit a 4 disc blu ray case? That original paper thin cardboard packaging that we got saddled with is horrible. Truly the worst looking blu ray set in my collection. Now that I think about it, do they even sell 4 disc blu ray cases?

I'm also looking for some nice custom Twin Peaks covers for my blu set. The original box looks great but my discs keep falling apart.

Has anyone ever made a slipcover for Grave of the Fireflies the NA release? I'd be very interested in one!

Can I use that program only to save the image in the correct Blu case size so I can print later? I don't have a printer at home.

I've had a few requests to do the Disney Diamond Edition covers in the same style I typically use, only with Disney's official artwork rather than concept art... I haven't decided whether or not I will get to all of them as they're not the versions that I personally use, but here is the first:

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

And here is one of my favorite films of the year, Ich Seh Ich Seh; Or, Goodnight Mommy

I like that snow white, the style really makes it pop.

Default The Young Lions

Here's another title that has been staring at me from the WiP folder for weeks for lack of decent elements. Finally got something I'm satisfied with. I'm guessing resourced for this film are few and far between. Even Twilight time used a simple B&W photograph. At least this is original one sheet art...

No the program simply scales the image to the correct size/proportions for printing, it doesn't actually alter the image in any way.

Default X-Men Rogue Cut

I've been staring at the "Rogue Cut" cover from Fox for weeks and keep thinking what a Photoshop mess it is. Finally got around to making something I like better.

Default L.A. Confidential

Several pages back someone asked about a custom for L.A. Confidential using original one-sheet art. Here's my version...
