I’m curious about two visits I got today.
The first was from the Superintendent of the department I work in. He was curious about some things that I do, but it was mostly idle chatter.
The second was from my Supervisor. He made it seem like he was there for a fire extinguisher check , but that is something that he never does, there are others who deal with that. It seemed like he was looking around at my Machine. For what, I’ll do not know.

I found today to be odd. Visits from those two are rare to never.

I don't get it either. How does someone just stop enjoying collecting? Unless he didn't initially intend on growing a collection and just grew tired of a disorganized stack of physical media he never really cared for. Even for financial reasons, you're never going to get anywhere near the value of your collection so that can't be a factor. I suppose the member count on this site will continue dwindling because of people migrating to streaming. Why post on Blu-ray forums if you've grown tired of it?

I'm not tired of it. But circumstances might be forcing my hand.

I was out on the road at 8:10 a.m. for a walk. Ending up a little under 5 miles away at my parent's house, then walked through the woods on their land till 10 a.m. something. Went to the barn and grabbed my old mountain bike, made my way home, the long way via the highway instead of cutoff roads. Only ate twice today. Passed out in the living room chair around noon. Now, I'm wide awake and can't stop thinking about my car. It. Still. Isn't. Finished.

Why does time exist in our society? Time doesn't exist in nature. Birds and plants don't know what "5am" is, so why do we invent it?

5 a.m. is to a plant as the anticipation of sunlight peeping through the window is to a human. This is why measurement exists for humans: we're wired to facilitate the release of their CO2. If you, as a human, want off this planet then never trust a single blade of grass, instead focus your attention toward the kingdom of fungi. They're not of this planet.

We'd likely be happier without time. It'd be less stressful too, that's for sure.

"Structured" time was invented by the advertising industry. Everything has a start time, followed by measured instances of time for commercial purposes. Otherwise, newscasts would start randomly ( could be 5:04 and end at 6:10 today, for example) and there would no no commercials.

Sorry if I'm rambling, it's almost 2:00 AM and my neighbors are still celebrating Memorial Day even though it's a work night. See, for them, structured time doesn't exist. Good night.

I haven’t felt well in about a week. Finally bit the bullet and went to Urgent Care yesterday. Turns out I have Pneumonia. I feel worse today than I did yesterday after three doses of antibiotics. Really hope I start to turn the corner tonight, but at what point should I start getting worried?

Am I supposed to let my cell phone's battery power run down to 0% before charging it or can I begin charging at, say, 15%? I've never gotten a clear answer from people I ask. Last night I checked my phone and it was at 15%. This morning I checked again and it was down to 5. I thought the 15 would get me through at least part of the morning. For the record, I have a nearly 2-year-old Android.

i plug mine in every night when i go to bed. i think the lowest mine's been is about 75%; but it's usually never below 90%.

i've never had any issues with mine; and it's a 2-year old galaxy s8+

Yeah but will the battery waste away faster if I start a premature charge?

No, you're fine with any-time charge. Older batteries had to be drain to charge.
